Should 343 have a Season Pass for DLC in Halo 4?

Should 343 give us the choice of purchasing a season pass which will include all downloadable content released afer Halo 4’s launch? I’m not sure myself. I think it would be alright because with one purchase I already have the DLC and can just wait until it all comes out. I hope there are more than just multiplayer maps. Maybe they could include new armor. That would be a first for the halo series. What do you think?

As long as all it does is get you all the DLC, then I’d be fine with it. None of this “Get it early” stuff. Just make it so you can buy it all at once and nothing more.

That would require them to commit to a robust DLC schedule.

A season pass would be completely pointless if they added 2 minor things and a single map pack.

What are talking about? They are most likely already committed to a robust DLC schedule. Everyone is going to get the same amount of DLC at the same time. The only difference is that these people pay for all of it in advance. They are not adding anything. You are not making any sense.

I don’t think it would matter. Halo DLC is released MONTHS apart from each other. Gears of War seems to release new DLC every other month.

It could help the issue that Reach had/has where not enough people seemed to buy the DLC. That’s if they make the pass a discount for buying in bulk rather than just buying them all for the same price anyway.

Either way I’ll likely buy all the DLC anyway (assuming I end up liking the final product enough and they don’t sell silly things like gun skins). A season pass certainly couldn’t hurt though.

I think they should. I bought the season pass for gears 3 and it was very convent. Download immediately comes up for download the day of release.

What? two of the four times the DLC was delayed. And not just delayed, but delayed specifically for the season pass owners. Some people even had the paid version of the RAAM DLC pop up and got charged twice.

There were technical hitches, sure, but where it worked you gotta admit people got a good deal. 15 new maps and over 3 hours of campaign for 2100.

It wasn’t delayed for me when I got it. Also when people bought the RAAM DLC twice that was their own fault for not reading the fine print. It clearly says that you should not download it if you already purchased the DLC pass otherwise you will be charged twice. You must go through it in a special way.

True, if 343 decides to do a season pass it’s best if they just assume some guy responsible for the market place will screw up. By that I mean they shouldn’t rush to release the DLC as soon as possible, but also make sure that both versions are released at the same time. So they should hand the DLC over to the Xbox guys a few days before it’s about to be released.
