It is a campaign only thing so why does it really matter. The best thing you can get by using it are some achievements but the achievement don’t unlock anything for you. The only change I would like to see done with it is to actually give it a model and give Chief proper animations when using it.
Later on, 343 could even add new achievements such as completing LASO without the cannon, but again it is truly a minor thing.

The last thing I would want is another LASO achievement in the game since I don’t even like the first one being in there. But I think the gun should stay since it isn’t that big of a deal, even in a LASO run. Sure it helps some, but you have a to jump to fire most of the time which exposes yourself and combined with the boom skull it can really ruin some instances in the open world if you aren’t careful. The amount of times I’ve had to retry FOBs since an enemy goes flying away and lives is too many times.

Leave it, but remove it in LASO.
I say leave it. The most I’d be okay with would be disabling achievements. Though honestly, this is 2021, there are games out there which hand you 1000 gamerscore for doing practically nothing. And we don’t get any unlocks for completing the achievements, so what’s the harm even if it doesn’t disable achievements?
Exactly. Plus that’s always part of the fun in Halo. Finding these fun bugs. Hopefully they don’t treat it like every other game and fix everything and they actually keep all the fun bugs and only fixing the game breaking ones.
I too think they need to leave it in, it led to so many hilarious and fun things, and would when Co-Op gets released as well. If they wanted to do something, maybe just patch achievements or something, but it’s so much fun to play around with, would be a real shame if it went away.
I really doubt it’s going to go away. Yeah, one of the 343 guys called it a “glitch”, but he didn’t call it a bug. That’s a big distinction, and I think gives notion that it was intentionally placed.
do not remove it that is such a very bad idea like I would literally fire anyone who suggested removing it that’s how bad of an idea it is
