So i have noticed lately that my shots arent “registering.” I know that sounds like a half-a** excuse but i can definitely tell. Are others having a this similar problem or is this my own connection issue? driving me nuts. My team played a custom last night and it was horrible. sigh

Haven’t noticed it myself. Could be the server you’re connecting to and/or your connection.
I have actually been experiencing the same thing recently, even melee hits aren’t connecting
Yesterday I did have some splitsecond lag stuff which surprising threw me off a lot, like being in someones face with a br pulling before him (about 2 bursts out) and still trading on headshots
I have experienced what feels like shots not registering, but after i say it out loud, it just sounds silly to me.
A friend of mine just made a reddit post on r/halo similar to this. In the past two days since the “March 1st hotfix” and the ranks resetting, I have played worse than I ever have. My aim has dropped nearly 10%. At first I thought that perhaps it was the lag, or that maybe I’m just in a funk and not playing as well as I normally do, but apparently I’m only one of many experiencing this. The reddit thread speculates that perhaps 343 released a patch to aim assist or other aiming settings that wasn’t mentioned in the march 1st patch notes.
Any and all insight into this is appreciated. Let’s get this thread some attention so I can figure out if I’m really just a scrub or if there is something impacting gameplay currently

the game has been inconsistent the last two weeks for me for sure. This season feels even worse (and we’re only two days into it…)

I keep asking myself as well is it something that happened with the patch or is it my connection or controller or xbox itself??
I play with the same group of friends and we are all basically 1700-1800 Onyx and ever since the Patch our aim has went to complete -Yoink-. Shots do not register at all and the Magnum just feel like quick sand and unresponsive.
I hope we get some sort of fix or solution to this because it is getting to the point that it’s pointless to use a Magnum.

haha yeah man I am right there with you. I can handle losing to better players and appreciate good team work but when my shot feels unresponsive and shots not registering it’s super hard not to rage!

same problem here. Since the hotfix i nearly lose every 1vs1 cause of this

Yeah I really hope so. I have played every Halo and it’s the only game I really play and it is getting to the point where it’s just about unplayable. It’s just frustrating knowing that you are always thinking a few moves ahead and you know once you kill this guy who is weak you can move towards the next objective and it takes a -Yoink- ton of extra shots to kill the weak guy and just messes everything up.

At least im not the only feeling this way…smh. i really enjoy this game but it is becoming a chore with server issues and now this.
I get the same issues, warping, lagging out of games, shots not registering. Can you guys post your ISPs and region? Mines is:

No problems here. I believe the OP is genuinely facing technical difficulties, but I’d wager more than half the people agreeing with the OP are actually just losing and blaming anything they can rather than manning up and accepting that they just had a bad game or two.

That could be a likely possibility, but packet loss, high ping, DDoS (ddos’ing dedicated servers is a thing) and general service interruption, etc. exists in our world too. Can you list your ISP and region also? I’m just here to gather data to try and find an objectified solution.
