Why when you snipe someone in the head or you shoot them in the body with a sniper when their shields are down, they don’t die? I sniped someone in the head (seen the blood and bullet sparks) and he didn’t die. Shot someone with a sniper when his shields were down (seen the blood) and he didn’t die. This happens 3 out of 10 of my sniper shots. You can’t get used to it, because a kill is a kill and it adds onto your k/d. Hope this isn’t in Halo 4.
It’s just lag. Your shots don’t always register as you see then. Just part of host-client gaming.

So when this happens, it means that the opponent has host? I been in a lot of games when my teammate said “aww crap, they have host”. The opponent having host gives them an advantage?

A lot of the time yes, but not always. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean that that particular player has host, just that the host’s connection is more favorable to that player.
