Shotgun not doing enough damage

It’s in the title, shotgun needs a pretty serious buff. It either needs to be a one hit kill or the shotgun needs to have a much fast fire rate. Right now I feel just as capable with the AR close range. Personally, I just don’t see the point of a shotgun in Halo that doesn’t 1 HKO due to the TTK.

it kills in two hits at a good range you can also hold down the trigger for faster rate

I picked it up and blasted the first target at point blank in the weapons drill and was dumbfounded that it didn’t kill them.

It is ridiculously easy to get kills with, fires very fast, kills enemies from quite far away and takes 2 shots to kill. It doesn’t need a buff at all.

I agree with this.
Also, by the way, it fires fully automatically.
Also, by the way, you basically have built-in energy sword with the lunge-range of melee + BXB glitch right now.

I do miss the old shotguns iconic look and ability to load single shells though.

it’s fine, its a different kind of shotgun that doesn’t eat the role of the gravity hammer or energy sword while still being viable. reminds me a lot of the CE shotgun with its extended range and inability to 1-shot.

what needs to be nerfed are the AR and sidekick, they’re making every weapon look underwhelming.
