Ummm… why can we not have a shot gun as a load out weapon?
Cause it’s too strong???
Because it’s is a power weapon, can you imagine how many people would spawn with it in every single match? It would be ridiculous. If you want a Shotgun, use the Boltshot
Because this isn’t Call of Duty. This is Halo.
The shotgun in Halo 4 can kill 5 people in 5 shots, while the other weapons can kill a maximum of 2 people per magazine.
It would be the most effective close range weapon in the game should it be a loadout choice.
It’s a power weapon and always has been.
Boltshot against Shotgun… Seems legit, we should have it too. If not, I want a Needler in the Loadout.
I want a sniper in my loadout because scrubs can spawn with boltshots
while we’re at it, give us tactical nukes in loadouts.

You do have it as a loadout, its called the Boltshot.

Yeah, get better at not being killed by a weapon that can one shot kill you. If you can’t do that then you’ll continue to be a bad kid.

Get better at not chasing like an idiot, get better at checking your corners, get better at using the thruster/jet pack/PV to avoid a BS user. I can keep going but it’s obvious to me that you have no idea how to play properly just by your dumb post. The game gives you more then enough options to combat boltshot users, -Yoinking!- USE them.
It’s a bad idea. The Shotgun is correctly recognised as a power weapon (not a top-tier power weapon, but nonetheless) and a Boltshot is a loadout weapon, albeit one that’s exploitable and overpowered in some situations.
If you were defending a base, what would you rather have? A Boltshot can kill two guys per magazine and has a warm-up/cooldown between shots. A Shotgun can (as another poster mentioned) kill 5 enemies in five shots, in rapid succession. Give me a shotgun every time.
Saying “hurr, the Boltshot is like a shotgun, so make shotguns loadout weapons” is like saying that we should have Sniper Rifles as loadout options because, hey, the Magnum can do headshots too, so what’s the difference?

I play just fine, haven’t been killed by a boltshot for atleast a week. All I was saying is that it’s a one shot kill weapon, and I don’t use PV or Jetpack. So when I do meet a Boltshotter, the slightest mistake and I’m dead. And that’s what I’m making my point on, despite you having jetpack and PV, you can still be killed by it’s one shot capability just by making an easy mistake.
