Shot delay and hit detection

Does any one else feel like their shots don’t hit until like half a second after you shoot or is it just me. If so how do I fix it? Could it be the server’s desync problem or my internet? I play on Xbox Series S. I have Xfinity internet with 1200 mbps download speed and 35 mbps upload speed.

Same problem, also Xbox series s

Oh man, I tell ya. I shot a guy with a sniper and it was a good second before the shot registered the kill. I was so confused, but explains my terrible sniping ability lol

I have had that happen a few times recently. Probably the same problem a lot on the forums have been complaining about with the desync issue.

What I find funny is when my ping is 70-80, registration is fine. But if it drops to the 60, shots don’t register

Not just you.

Broken game is broken.

I get it too. The game has fundamental problems. Just have to either not play or chalk it up to “well that’s the way Infinite is.” I imagine if it was fixable they’d have done it by now.

I have experienced far worse delay and hit detection problems this last month, which makes the game even that more unplayable now.

What I have experienced now though is much more extreme, when I get killed by an opponent, I am usually behind cover, but to my dismay, when I see the animation of my dead body, I am most often 2–3 meters out in the open and not where I thought I was when I was killed, like I said, extreme now.

It’s also noticable watching the enemy teabagging me… I can tell how bad the desync is based on how far away from my corpse they are teabagging.

“It’s not Halo without desync”.

Yeah, it sucks hard and kills the fun, and is especially noticable after melee or whenever you’re chasing someone, you shoot few shots as he’s just about to turn behind a corner, and again, and again, at the end of the day you upload the whole clip into someone’s back but not a single hit gets registered…
