I love assault, but this was way too much.

Lol I hate when this happens. I feel ya, I’ve literally joined in on the “Defeat” screen before.

Exactly the same thing happened to me the other day. I joined a game, heard “10 seconds” then it was over. Pointless.

Once I joined a game just as my team blew up the core.

Lol

It’s the absolute worst when you use a boost and have no chance to do anything with it because you join late. Most times, not all, but most times I’m thrown onto the losing team and have no time to get anywhere close to achieving the gambit on my boost. They need to fix this somehow, either not throw you into an already started game when you’re using a boost card, or give you back the card if you join late.

I didn’t even get a ten second warning, just an immediate loss.

Yeahh it happens, but really not often. For most players even once is unlikely, sucks that it happened to you tho

Yeah I only use a boost when I know I’m joining a new game. Just select a boost when the 5 second timer is counting down to deploy. The timer means u r starting a new match.

i wish i could do an single war zone assault, but where i live it doesn’t allow me enter an single game.

i use an boost, to find myself in middle of an losing match, what worse is running to an req station to call in an weapon of mass destruction is to have an power blackout >.< the shortest 3mins of war zone ever…

I really only play warzone assault for req points and to mess around with the enemy team. It’s completely on sided and annoying to actually PTFO

Rip

This is why I hate the ‘Join in Progress’ system. It would be nice if there was an option in the Halo 5 settings where the end user had the option to switch it on or off.

um well lets see, that sucks you lost your boost but you do realize there is an infinite amount of boosts right? you will surely receive MANY more of the same boost. also did you know that if there is no “deploying” screen in the loading lobby then you will know you are going to JIP. remove your boost if you see this. it can avoid loosing the boost.

people often blame JIP for this problem. i guess it could be tweaked to not add any new players in the last minute of a game, but then youd have the problem of the game not always knowing when the game is going to end. they cant forsee that someone is about to destroy the core, or that someone is about to stop the team from capturing a base in assault. the problem here lies with people quitting loosing games. it is not a coincidence that most people joining a game in progress are forced onto the loosing side. blame quitters, not JIP. thank god for JIP

i have been placed onto a winning side in JIP many times. Never hear anyone complaining about that. There was one time iw as in a fireteam with a friend and they joined us into a game putting us onto opposite sides. my team was stuck in our home base/core while he was able to get a banshee immediately and come kill me. im sure many people would be furious. it lasted a couple minutes, my friend found it hilarious to come kill me, and it was over before i knew it. i received a good amount of req points for only being in a game for a few minutes.

ive had games i was in for 30 seconds and go over 1000 req points. you say pointless? i say sit out a loss to get the req points that the person who quit will never get(also you had no part in that team loosing, so its really easy to not get worked up about being on the loosing side). its really not so bad, and honestly if you join a game that ends quickly you should be happy you werent forced to sit in a loosing game for 10 minutes hopelessly defending your core while the other team pads their stats (notice i did not use the term farming, that is a dumb made up word that i will continue to ignore)

ive also joined games where the team was loosing, both BTB and warzone, but we brought it back to win. JIP is such a needed aspect of this game, i hope people dont keep complaining about it. we need to stop quitters and we wouldnt be put in their loosing spot.

many people on this forum encourage others to quit if people are padding their stats or if the game is “unevenly matched”. do not listen to them. do not quit,e very time you do in warzone someone is forced to take your place and then this is what we are left with…

Really? You think a major AAA title like this would’ve had a system in place to prevent joining matches that close to an end. :\

I joined a match that was had less than one second left. I got the carnage report, nothing else.

Wow… that’s gotta suck… hope it dosent happen to me!

This. It’s something that can be prevented, but at the same time it shouldn’t be possible in the first place. Most of the time between matches I’m busy dealing with things during the small break so I slap on the boost then do whatever I have to before the game begins, but I’m not always back for the timer itself.

@Phoreman
Also as for wasting a boost just to get another one later, you get another one back later, but I myself rarely get Warzone boosts so I have to use them at the most opportune time possible. And in the end you’d of gotten the new card regardless. A waste is a waste.
