A few days ago, someone posted on the Halo subreddit asking if there was anything we were irrationally angry about in the Halo universe. I realized the thing that bothered me most was that, in The Fall of Reach, James had just spun off into space and since then, nothing in the universe has touched on what happened to him. So I put together a short story this weekend, mostly for my own closure on it. But I thought some of you might get a kick out of it until the next official novel hits the shelves. Hopefully at least a couple of you enjoy it.
That was pretty good! I’ve been writing my own story, and I’ve been having trouble writing some filler points that elaborate on the mindset of my Spartan, but this had some good examples. Thanks.
The one thing that has bothered me was that Chief and Mendez have never seen each other again since the Spartan-II graduation ceremony. It’s kinda sad to me. The way it was written, it was so blunt. It was good description, but non the less really sad.
