Short and sweet feedback

Not going to go into super deep detail but let’s get started on some criticisms that I think need addressed from this weekend:

  1. BXB. I heard they’ve already fixes this for the final build so no worries. Just annoying as hell when you have the upper hand in a battle and it’s closing in on a melee fest to only get BXBed.

  2. Radar. 18 meters is ridiculously low. Increase to 25 meters please.

  3. Aiming. Playing on controller and Series S, I was able to get it somewhat decent by setting deadzones close to 0. But the AA needs fixed to get it closer to H3.

  4. Guns like sniper, sidekick, commando and skewer are all difficult to use. Spraodic aiming for me. AR seems a little too OP. BR seems pretty decent but maybe rate of fire increased slightly. Needler fires and tracks well but needs OG sounds. Grenade spamming needs addressed somehow. Slower rate of fire between back to back throws. Get rid of the tails behind them.

  5. Please please please give us the ability to cycle grenade types by just pressing left on D pad. So simple. Make it happen.

  6. Drop shield is underwhelming. Just give us a bubble shield. Repulser and grappler are the 2 best equipment hands down. OS is OS and camo is camp. Nothing else to be said about those.

These are the things that come to my mind immediately although I’m sure there are more small things I noticed during gameplay that have escaped me at the moment. Excited to see what the final product will be. Would be nice if all these immediate concerns could be addressed since alot of forum members here have similar thoughts.

Your using the drop shield incorrectly, I prefer the Bubble though. U can be at the brink tof death with the drop shield hrow it down and hit the enemy back when they can’t hit u.

The problem I felt with the drop wall is that even if you’re extremely low on health, it depletes way too quickly and you’ll likely still get killed before your health and shields recharge. It needs to be a little stronger.

I can see that a bit stronger. I’ve just had a lot of reversal with it. Especially when bombarded by grenades. I like that’s it’s offensive cause with bubble shield there was always like a weird pause where u couldn’t hurt each other. Although I will always miss throwing a spike grenade in to a bubble that was amazing every time

Haha yeah I love catching guys trying to come inside with a surprise grenade. I also like to trick players with the weapon I’m using when in the bubble shield. Keep the BR out and they think they’re at a fair advantage, then I switch to shotgun as soon as they enter.

I don’t think the problem is the AA. I think these two things are much more to blame:

  • The default controller settings are bad. The deadzones by default should be much closer to zero, sensitivity higher, acceleration higher, and a few other adjustments. - Strafe speed while changing direction to way too fast. In H3 for example, if your holding hard right on the left stick and immediately change to hard left, you slow down, stop, and then accelerate to the left. Infinite the directional changes are almost immediate. Here’s an example of what I meanInfinite: - YouTube

The strafe speed in halo 3 is like that because the BR was projectile based. You had to lead your shots. So think about that. You were shooting slightly ahead of someone’s movement to where if they stop, that stop would actually mess your aim up more and you have more chance to miss that shot. If there been no need to lead your shots, well you’re on target. When they stop…well it isn’t hard to hit a target that’s basically standing still for a moment when your reticle is already on it right?

It’s hitscan now. If you’re so slow in changing directions…what point is there to strafing at all at that point? I mean…you strafe for a reason…and you’re basically taking that away. The whole point it to dodge shots.

And in those videos…dude that guys aim is HORRIBLE or its done in a joking matter. He’s doing all of his aim almost purely with his right stick. There’s no way this dudes aim is that bad is it? His reticle is swinging all over the place and has absolutely no discipline on the stick. It ain’t a problem at all with the spartan bots movement nor aim assist…line your shot up…strafe…micro adjustments…this dude moves his own spartan all over the place as well as his reticle. It’s painfully obvious. How the heck is the aim assist supposed to work if you yourself are the one pegging the dang stick left to right moving it out of the RR AA area dude!? Lol that video is a joke
