Shootout in Valhalla Missile

This missile is the epitome of laziness in a video game, the mission was awesome, followed by this terrible animation of a missile hitting a Covenant Corvette. Who else agrees?

No. We finally saw a ship be destroyed in Spartan ops and I loved it, also yeah the mission was amazing!

The audio for the explosion doesn’t even play on mine… the whole thing is really poorly developed, the cut-scenes and voice acting in spartan ops make me cringe… the gameplay i like! But this is supposed to be a AAA gaming franchise, i guess spartan ops was their budget work.

Reminded me of a microsoft powerpoint animation…
mission was great though.

My only beef was I have no idea where the missile came from! I looked in the sky but didn’t see the Infinity. Magic missile?

The explosion was okay, but it made that up when the Cruiser fell down to Valhalla. That was pretty awesome.

I actually didn’t even notice the missile the first time I played through that mission. I agree that the whole missile scene was very underwhelming, especially after coming off such battle-intensive high, but I’m not too distraught about it.

And like a previous poster said, seeing the Covenant cruiser fall into the background of Valhalla was pretty cool.

Epic moment in Spartan Opts
Epic game mode
Epic game…Period

1st of all how can a frigate destroy a cruiser. In reach a frigate could barely take on a corvette.

2nd how did 1 missile destroy it.

Like a menstrual gaming sexwee?

Nah it was all awesome. Seeing the cruiser blow up was a nice reward to the 20 minutes of fighting.

Reach was when the war first started.

Halo 4 is 5 years after halo 3, the end of the war. Did you notice the opening cutscene of spartan ops where the infinity slams into a covanant carrier and cuts it in half, taking absolutely no damage? That would have never happened before the war the giant ship would have been obliterated by the smaller more advanced covie ship. But now we have reverse engineered forrunner technology much like the covenant did, but we did it better.

I dont even know why i bothered to type that out.

I noticed that missile came from an angle that looked like it was fired from a Naval ship, that was on the sea. I don’t know why they didn’t use the Infinity because that would have been more epic to see Infinity appear, launch a missile and blow up that Corvette imo.

Still wish I could get a better look by going into theatre. Oh well, maybe someday…

The UNSC has had access to Forerunner technology on Trevelyan for five years, which most likely includes weapons. It’s very likely that the missiles in Halo 4 are enhanced by this technology, fully capable of taking on a Covenant Frigate, no problem.

As for the scene where the Corvette was destroyed, I thought it was pretty epic.

I keep getting trolled by this… OH AWESOME, IMA GO SEE THIS SHEEET IN THEATRE…

TRROOOLLLLEEEDDD

I’ve concluded that the explosions in Halo 4 are extremely unremarkable.

I don’t know why they couldn’t blow up the Covenant ship BEFORE it loosed every last Phantom and Banshee it had on us…

That was not a Corvette that was a Battle Cruiser.
