Shooting Through Walls Is Breaking This Game

That other guy might be right and it is better to just ignore him. He is just trying to get you angry so he can laugh about it but his mistake is thinking he was ever clever enough to make me angry hahahahaha! I had a suspicion and sniffed it out pretty early.

That’s not necessarily true. Look at Dead by Daylight. It uses Unreal and is still kind of a mess even 5 years later. Their netcode used to be a lot worse though.

And no matter what you reply with it all comes down to 343 releasing a broken game and knowing exactly what they are doing. It comes down to disrespect to all of us fans and consumers, and even the blindest most dedicated ones such as yourself. But, like I said… it won’t go anywhere, you’ll just keep rolling in a circle smelling that self produced musk.

Yeah you sure did get me. When I misread one word you wrote and offered to explain anything that I’d written, that was a huge gotcha that I’ll never recover from.

The irony of course is that in my post I clearly explained that these issues might not have been visible internally and the team didn’t realize the bugs were there until the game released, but it doesn’t matter what I post because you’re here to be mad and nothing anyone says will convince you otherwise.

I experienced this a couple times last night, thought I was going insane. I’ve never seen it so bad before especially in a halo game. Some of it looks as if we’re playing on a hosts connection.

Seriously! I wish I could make my own dang server and be done with this nonsense. Just unreal that this is still a problem in new games.

They didn’t realize desync was an issue until the game released? Really? Didn’t notice it in the flights? Wait, what about the numerous complaints about BTB not working even during the “small flight window”? Nothing? Well maybe they were busy working on the progre… wait not that either. Hmmmm… I wonder just what they were doing. But you’re right, they didn’t know about any of it. Just like Dice didn’t notice anything wrong with BF2042 until after release right?

Are you asking for dedicated servers and a server list? Woah woah woah… that’s way too much work for 343, please be realistic!

They might’ve seen it on a smaller scale, run metrics to see the number of players affected, and then said it was within an acceptable range. That’s a possibility.

One thing that happens frequently is that a dev releases a fix that they think will work, but there’s no way to verify it outside of seeing if the issue is resolved on live. This could easily be one of those things that they thought they fixed and oops, fix didn’t work. Time to add logging to help isolate the issue.

If you thought you did something here, you didn’t. Assuming you’re critiquing the progression system, which obviously isn’t something that’s easily fixed in the final stretch.

Making a million changes and fixes you didn’t see because you’re a gamer and you have no idea what goes into making a game.

It’s interesting, I assumed this was in reference to the non direct weapons like the heatwave and I was totally in agreement lol.

Heatwave and cindershot might be a tad overpowered.

I agree man it can be frustrating but I just hope they’re well aware of these issues and come back to work soon and get to fixing…people have been calling it a desync issue and I’m not exactly sure the specifics but your enemy may see you perfectly fine even though your 2 steps behind a wall…it’s kinda crazy.

As much as I don’t like this game I want to see it thrive. I don’t HATE 343. I just storngly dislike them doing mistakes that could’ve been avoided.

Ive noticed a lot going on lately. I die behind walls constantly. Lose most of my firefights when my shots are definitely landing, later at the end of the game to see my accuracy is like 10%. And the worst is when I smash a dude with the hammer, dead on, they dont die, and losing blade duels. Every single time. I dont even enter the follow up attack animation and my opponent seems to be entering it immediately and im dead. I am by no means a terrible player, im quite consistent, but lately this has been just aweful.

Mistakes happen I think but and I experience all the same issues as everyone else, desync and what feels like a terrible connection…fiesta can be a nightmare with all the different weapons and their inconsistency’s lol I honestly feel the game is it’s best in ranked with the issues you don’t have to worry about the different weapon inconsistency’s and sure desync is there but if it’s a bad connection you can generally compensate for that by not challenging being weak or whatever. It what gets me is how everything costs money! And rewards can be awful for the time required to get them but I hope they figure it out soon…they are working on it all be it slow as molasses

Also getting shot through walls. Went into theater and watched a particular engagement with a console player (I’m on PC), where NONE of his shots were on my spartan but he got hit markers for every single one. The killing blow to me was after I had past a wall and left the room entirely.
Messaged him asking him very politely if he was cheating, he then told me he was on console and it was likely a connection issue.
Loving infinite, but I really hope these issues get remedied! I hope all of you have an enjoyable time in future games regardless!

Ya pretty sickening. I tried going to theater to check once but my theater is completely broken. I am also on PC.

Same here, playing on XBOX. In a ranked match i got shot through walls. I checked the game in theater mode and there were no doubt. It was a pc player killing as all through walls. The cheater went 28 / 1.
Made clips from the theater and submitted a ticket on the halo waypoint support.
