in halo 4, if you are engaging someone with the same gun vs the same gun, and both players shoot the first bullet at the same time, the victor of said encounter should be the one who shoots better.
if bloom is implemented, FULL AUTO SPAMMING should NOT be optimal, and should lose 100% of the time against someone who paces their shots.
if spread is implemented, it should be so minimal, so miniscule that you will NEVER MISS a bullet due to spread alone when you have flawless aim.
the last thing we need is the third halo game in a row to have a poorly designed utility weapon that adds in yet another random factor, and inconsistency into the game.
adding inconsistency DOES NOT balance the game, making other weapons not terrible does. inconsistency helps absolutely NO ONE. it ONLY hurts people by making them miss shots they should have hit (spread), or land shots they shouldnt have (spread), or win encounters by mashing their R trigger with a gun that is made to ‘enforce a cadence’ (bloom).
Run for the hills Urza, the Reach kids lurk Halo 4 forums too. Remember, inconsistency IS consistency! Everything has to be slow and random because that’s Halo!

Alas, i agree however. The better shot wins, 100 percent of the time without RNG luck involved. Of course if you are going to play against a foreign host, that’s a different story Halo 4 dedicated servers much?

The person who “Shoots better” wins 100% of the time anyway.
However with bloom, the actual person who wins becomes slighty more random and unpredictable, less reliant on accuracy, similar to BR spread.
Before you mindlessly flame, think about it, even if a person gets a random shot, that is still better “shooting”, although not necessarily accurate on his behalf.

This. Even if I join the US servers from NZ I still have a great connection, people think dedicated servers are bad while they are actually 200,000 times better than P2P, if implemented properly.
Its all about the center circle, if its on his head, it WILL hit his head, as long as your targets body is inside the circle, whether they spam or not, it will hit. Its for mid range to long range fights, even when zoomed, you need to pace your shots to make sure you hit. Is that not simple enough?
I win 100% of the time when I know im shooting better, but when I make a mistake and allow the other guy to gain an advantage by not pacing (I always spam when I zoom and they fill the circle, because thats what your suppossed to do when they are close enough) then I deserve to lose. Its obvious that your losing engagements and are clueless as to why, so you get mad and vent your frustrations on the forums
All the weapons should be balanced. I should always be able to kill a BR user with an AR at short range, and vice versa.
The AR should do badly on shields and well on armor, and the Plasma Rifle should do well on shields and badly on armor.
Needlers should be amazing in hallways and awful out in the open. Sniper Rifles should dominate at long range, and Shotguns at short range. The Energy Sword should be reverted to the Halo 2 version.

I’m sure you realise that if Bungie made bloom make spammers lose 100% of the time, noobs will get also destroyed 100% of the time.
This is good, but not for Bungie, since they made bloom broken ON PURPOSE to cater to the CoD fanbase.
That’s the Bungie way of thinking for their last game, but we don’t know if 343i will follow Bungie’s footsteps yet, since the only game we have got from 343i so far has been a CE remake. I hope that they become more like the Bungie in the years 2004-2007.
I hope that there is such a bloom system as you describe, but if 343i doesn’t want to do the game that hard to the new players, they should at least make it like Halo 2, but NEVER EVER LIKE REACH.

There should be minimum spread like the BR in halo 3. I mean you don’t want the BR to be ultra-precise over long range. If you are shooting really far range like end of Narrows to center, it should be to harass enemies

Yeah, you want your precious BR/DMR/Carbine/NR to dominate at any range because you’re unwilling to learn how to use anything else. That sounds about right. The AR is severely underpowered.
