Shocked people are still having massive issues

I POSTED THIS BEFORE THE LATEST PATCH, WHICH SEEMS TO HAVE MADE THINGS WORSE

For the past week or so, I’ve gotten a game 95% of the time, both solo and with friends, without a wait time of more than 60 seconds. Sometimes there are uneven teams, sometimes it crashes, but once I get into the ‘Creating Teams’ screen, I successfully play a match almost every single time.

The other 5% includes getting stuck at ‘connecting session’, which I just back out and start over (and re-invite friends, which is working much better, but still not perfectly)…Having the game crash on start…Getting kicked or put into a different lobby…and having the weird menu overlay glitch. But I’m being serious when I say this hardly happens to me or my friends.

I just don’t get how so many people appear to be having such a different experience.

What you describe as acceptable 95% of the time is, to me, a broken game. If I play a game and there are uneven teams more than once, and it crashes more than once, and it takes more than 20-30 seconds to get into a match, I consider that game to be too much trouble to play. Now I realize, MCC has conditioned us to think of those issues as small bugs. If you have a higher tolerance to issues, then enjoy the game, seriously. I’m glad someone feels he is getting his money’s worth. But some of us remember Bungie’s Halo matchmaking that worked and part of this collection was recapturing that feeling of “Halo” and as long as there are glitches getting in the way, the game isn’t worth it, for me.

This has been pretty much my experience as well. The worst problem I’ve had lately is having to restart my game to join my friends sometimes. But I’ve also been able to fnd games 95% of the time.

So Halo 3 back on 360 was broken then was it? From what I remember the average search time back then was about a minute, maybe slightly more depending on playlist selected.

Remember, Halo 2 search times used to take up to 2 minutes in matchmaking, depending on your level in that playlist.

I’m not defending them for making a broken game, just by reading the forums it seems like people are getting no games and constantly having issues, which doesn’t make sense to me because my experience has been much better.

He’s serious though, I can’t remember any Halo game where it was that fast to get a game constantly. There was always some sort of a wait time.

The game is working fine for me. I’m able to find games. Some playlist have issues but overall the game is a lot better.

LOL!!! WOW. 343I has set the bar Soo F-ing Low that people are quick to claim MCC is fixed when ZERO games have ever connected to Dedicated Servers.

They rushed to set us up on the worst Peer 2 Perr hosting system ever resulting in a lot of games found but wtf is the point when NOTHING is fair in the game. Each game no matter the Halo is a Torture Session of 12 Minutes.

I would rather Wait 12 minutes to find the quality of connected games we were having with in the first week of launch. Now people have been Soo starved for some Halo they claim it is somehow fixed, That worries me. Are people going to be satisfied with the lack of quality games in favor for speed of finding games that 343i would allow the promise of Dedicated Servers to disappear?! I HOPE NOT!

Back to Halo1 and Halo 2 on PC :frowning: PC doesn’t offer any where the same comeptivieness I get from Xbox Live Match Making, but I rather play on Dedicated Servers than be made look like trash due to Connection Advantages.

Time Warner Cable: 300Mbps Download 20Mbps Upload and ahr game is the worst online experience ever encountered on Xbox One BY FAR!!!

Definitely not claiming that it is fixed, just stating my experience so far. Also, hasn’t Halo always been p2p? Everyone wanted to get host in every Halo game for that reason…

Patch doesn’t seem like it did anything for me. Still the same problems and long wait times.

Even if MM was totally fixed it still would have a pathetically small amount of playlists and no ranks. Even when I get games I’m bored enough to turn off my One after about 3 or 4. I even played Halo 3 on the 360 a couple days back.

There’s still a long road ahead even after people can find consistent games. I didn’t even mention some of the glitches…

As long as people are not Setteling with what we are being offered. It is irrelevant to what Past Halos have used as Most of them are here on XB1 and the PROMISE, One of the most ADVERTISING features of the game was DEDICATED Servers.

To be honest as a Long time Halo fan and Very Advant Online Gamer(Both Go hand and Hand) the news of Dedicated Servers is just as big if not Bigger than Halo 1-4. That Fair Playing field was going to take Halo where Xbox Live took Halo 2 the first go around.

The Addiction was Growing, But Peer 2 Peer and all this stuff happend. mCC will always be a Failure if they never get Dedicated Servers up and running. I don’t care how long it takes to get them, as long as they are still planned to play a core experience to the overall MCC Experience.

Dedicated Servers would be nice, and they did say that they had them…but here’s the thing: most Halo players have never played on Dedicated Servers on XBL, and will not miss it because they don’t know what they are missing within a Halo game. The experience will be the same as it was, or similar enough…and that’s what most Halo gamers want.

I’ve had a similar experience as well. Since last week’s patch, much better. Of course, I can’t wait for dedicated servers and more halo 4, but I’m playing halo finally! Woo hoo!

Was finding matches with ease an hour ago before the update, now I can’t find one

I honestly think that maybe 1/16th of the people saying the patch didn’t help are just lying because they think they are actually doing something with their lives. Just stay off Waypoint until things get fixed. I don’t even know why I’m on here still.

You and 343i both. I’m embarrassed for them at this point.

You are lying about people lying about this patch not working. I am not able to find a game anymore and when my friends and I try and join a game as a party, the party leader freezes and the game restarts while the party members get a black screen of death. So please shine some light on how people are lying.

Sorry to break the news to you @Velocityy But most Halo Players were and are Gamers First and foremost and thus have bought an Xbox 1 Day One or at sometime before the release of MCC. Having done so and playing Titanfall, BF4, Destiny, They would have had more than a taste of Dedicated Server Gaming. And the MOSt Hardcore Halo fans have bought Halo 1 and 2 on PC and have dug in to Dedicatex Server gaming for a few years now.

I’m a Halo fan since Before Halo 1 was even known, and I Own Halo 1 on PC since 2003, Halo 2 on PC since 2007, and bought my Xbox One just for Halo(Never was switching to PS4) and I bought my console Day One. I’m not going to be the Only Halo fan who has done what I done word for word.

Plus anyone can load up Halo 3 and Halo 4 and have a higher quality Peer 2 Peer hosting game there than what is found on MCC. Just yesterday I played Halo 1, 2(PC) and Halo 4 on X360 and had a better Online Experience. Anyone can go test this, and I’ll do anything to prove my before mention Connection so I don’t want to hear any blames on my Network.
