Just played a shipmaster and he lays mines and repeatedly teleports your units on top of them
Especially now that the grunt mine is improved it’s pretty rediculous. Even without the mines, positioning in this game is so important that teleporting someone else’s units is pretty game-ending
I’ve also seen cases where you have an army, and he teleports them into his army which is countering yours and you lose everything.

True, not broken though just a creative stratagy with a great ability.
Also positioning is the most important element in the game right now.
If by positioning you mean being able to position the enemy army out of the map as shipmaster that has not gotten addressed in the 3 patches the game has recieved…
This isn’t a broken strategy, that Shipmaster player is just using a great amount of micro and strategy.

That is just the shipmaster using his abilities quite creatively. Also displacement is in the 2nd to last tier of leader powers and normally in that stage of the match you can easily beat the weakest unit, grunt squad, in the game with just about anything. Also you have to remember he only has one inherently offensive leaderpower, two if you count the scout mine as offensive although it is more of a support power.
I play as shipmaster all the time and if you want to easily beat a shipmaster then use your leader powers sparingly. You have to bear in mind that if he uses glassing beam his entire force can be decimated by most leader power. Or if your units are displaced you just need to work around it. Say youre playing as cutter and a solid chunk of your army gets teleported away. You can hold your ground with the gunship support and use your troops still nearby to hold the line while reinforcing your army from orbit and bring backk all of your units. Isabel can take over all vehicles and air units, for some reason includes engineers even though they are clearly organic creatures and tell them to go to the opposite side of the map, not to mention a few other fun abilities. Forge can pelican back all of his units teleported away. Anders has a lot of defensive options as well such as the infinite sentinel swarms with kodiaks and siege turrets.
If youre atriox you can bait out glassing beam and wipe his force with eradication.
Decimus and Kinsano I have not played with her enough to know their strength/ weaknesses.
Basically, stop complaining about shipmaster using abilities creatively and learn how to counter them. It is not hard at all. It is mostly that not many people play as banished let alone shipmaster so not many people know how to effectively counter him.

“Quite creatively”
Maybe the first guy to do it. In a week we’ll have every shipmaster making grunts and teleporting untis into mines.
Also I’m not talking about all the stuff you mentioned - nor do I really care to engage on those topics. I’m talking specifically about how these derp-heads just make grunts and mines and win the game.
Also I play on PC - so anyone who sees an eradication is going to cancel the glassing beam and split the units. You don’t really gain anything from “baiting” out glassing beam.

Buddy, we have been over this, in multiple threads. It occurred after the first patch, was found when our recent patch was already in cret, hence why it was not included that patch was in the process of being shipped when this was found. And your math is off. We have received 2 patches since launch, not 3. If you are going to continue to beat this dead horse atleast have the right info, this time even your basic info is off

That doesn’t sound broken. That sounds pretty tactical.

Um, no actually not even close to the first and yes it is effective usage, and no you will not see everyone doing it because not everyone can pull it off.
First tactics used would be to teleport the enemy force into a waiting pack of suicide grunts. They have been doing that since launch yet you don’t see it every game do you. Another tactic in teams is to pair it with eradication and teleport the enemy into it just before it goes off.
Stop complaining about the leader with the high skill ceiling just because you fought one that was skilled, his difficulty is why he does not see much play. Honestly you UNSC kids keep making threads asking to remove what our banished leaders where built on we will start doing the same thing to you whiny grunts.

Ok, I was misinformed of the time occurence of the issue, sure.
But we have recieved three patches though. You forget about the day 1 patch that every game these days seems to get.
Like a vaccine for a disease that should have been irradiated years ago. Infact it was never an issue until devs made it OK somehow.

Pretty sure it’s not hard to “pull off” You just click on the army and then click on your minefield. There’s nothing complex or mechanically difficult going on here.
FYI my top played hero is Atriox (pre-patch) and random before that - saying there’s some kind of high “skill ceiling” is kindof a joke … and you just assumed I played UNSC out of nowhere. Roger.
I play in the top few percent of just about any RTS - what I care about is not what the average baddie is capable of - but what players who actually know how to play the game are capable of.
Finally, just because I find you obnoxious I’ll point out your joke winrate in platinum league. You’re so far off my level I can’t even see you down there fam. I think you should be the last person to be getting all high-and-mighty about them “UNSC kids”

Top tier? You must be the special grunt of tier then. You have to set up your mines or whatever you teleport them into before hand. You have to build it well enough to ensure it takes it out. It must be in range of where the future troop confrontation will take place and must not wasted by some poor scout unit wandering through it before you can teleport their whole army into it. That takes a bit of skill and a little bit of luck, you insult my rank yet I understand this and you don’t? That’s pathetic buddy, you top tier grunt.
As far as my win rate, I run Decimus, every ranked game so far. He does alot of things well and is good at winning early but when you go late game like your leader Atriox loves to he his kit is lacking a little compared to others. I am learning new tricks to cover his weakness and finish games out before they go late, every time someone beats me I see exactly how they did so, like the recent lose to an Atriox is a simple fix of next time take the minibase before getting the powernodes, as to prevent him from taking it with a single scout and setting up what I will admit was a nice proxy rush.
Funny how I at “can’t even see you down their” I learn from my defeats where as you come to the forum to cry about anything beating you being OP. Maybe actually learn the game, because you don’t know anywhere near as much as you allow yourself to believe grunt

Wow Bluelucif3r, maybe play some rank before calling out other players on wins and rank, your not even ranked buddy so stop trying to act like your some kind of God, apparently your to scared to even touch ranked 1vs1, come back when you grow a pair

Wow! You just gave me the best strategy ever! Thanks, hahaha!
Biggest issue is the Shipmaster’s ability to just teleboot an army from the map.

Damn, nice job man. Guess it was easier to cry for a nerf to you on the forum than to learn to beat you lol
