No he is the best infantry leader in the game however since he is the best banished he can make anything look good.

He isn’t infantry base, he doesn’t have leader powers that specialize in infantry and he only has one unique infantry unit
Maybe not specifically vehicle.
He’s versatile. Some players use him mostly for quick base raids. Others use him for quick vehicles.
I wouldn’t say he’s really 1 over any other. All around decent.
I might say this for all banished though. They don’t seem to specialize in “unit types” like UNSC does. Ex: Forge, Isabel, Cutter, etc.
If any, Arbiter is more of an infantry leader, just because his grunts are fast and those enforcers are crazy strong in bulk.

Ur forgetting about colony, he is vehicle base. Arbiter doesn’t have enough unique units to be infantry base , if ur saying arbiter is infantry base

Banish do care more about abilities than units, u had it the same way with the covenant I The first game . Colony has skitters, vehicle symbiote, and that second to last power that drops off vehicles with symbiotes. that’s all I can remember and I’m counting the second to last ability twice cause it adds vehicle symbiote to the vehicles .

The reason why I was asking if shipmaster was cause I just realized he has more lease powers that focus on vehicles than another units but its only 2 so I don’t think it’s enough

He has the ability to get some cloaked and speedy marauders running around, but he can do so much more too.
I get what you’re saying. Many players use him for locust abuse, or (in really long games) speedy wraith spams. And, he can do a strong ghost opener.
I think he’s just a really balanced leader, so there are lots of different options for using him. I’m still learning new play styes with him after months.

This is quite spot on. He is extremely versatile and his best asset is the ability to beat the other player psychologically via making them frustrated with displacement, teleport, extract all in one go.

It seems like you have two options with ship:
- Go for the vehicle/sight wheel
- Go for the teleport build.
Option 1 is great for stopping infantry map takeovers, specifically Cutter.
Option 2 is great for opponents that are trying to tech
It seems that if you go all in for the teleport method, you’re at risk of losing map control. And, if they keep their base defended while taking the map, you’re done.
Doing a mix of the two is great, but it takes a long time. Many games are decided by the 5-8min mark.
This is why he’s such a great leader. Like Arby, you have to choose points more so on how the game is going and who your opp is, rather than following a normal formula.

I like this a lot and I agree with what two routes to take.
I prefer option 1 most of the time as it almost guarantees map control and then your eco can power you to the win assuming you make no big mistakes.
honor guard, while I admit is underpowered, is still great for scouting and crossing enemy lines, he goes so well with using tactical gateway and scout mines

This is true 9/10 times. Ships ghost opener crushes any early cutter infantry play and gets you dem nodes.

Infantry is the strongest type of unit until locust yet the weakness of infantry is mobility. I’m guessing shipmaster has that covered better then any leader. Who can out run teleportation.
