Ship Master Scout mines destroyed all my base

It got to be a glitch… he literally destroyed all my base all game long…
he didnt even make units almost no army… he bring 2 engineers
and put a mine in the middle of my base then… BOOM no more base.

i mean all my supply pads and reactors… this is so annoying
343 need to patch this ASAP

Yeah some mates of mine all went Shipmaster to test this and it works ok. Turrets will kill them before they explode but early on it’s effective. It won’t destroy a full base but mini bases and building get destroyed. If you place between 2 you can destroy one and do damage to another.

They don’t always explode when near a building but most of the time they do.

If used well it can stall an enemy so they won’t be effective early and can be easily over run with a quick grunt/ghost push.

turrets cant kill them before it explod if executed well,
use 2 or 4 engineers to get turrent agro and if you use at lvl 2 scout mines… it destroy all the pads in the base,
its not even a tactic… its straight up a glitch… it is suppose to scout not destroy an entire base

and how the hell you can put it in the middile of a base?

Agree with OP, two scout mines shouldn’t be able to destroy a building, if it’s killing all of them that’s some range level issue. One-two pads, sure but all? Nah.

I test it and yes… That mine is like “Crash with a Warthog” in halo CE

I play shipmaster as my main and I have never heard of this. If the mines are being placed on the building then I wont do this but it is an interesting idea for a light attack at the beginning to counter play marine spam

I just tested it. You can drop mines at most places even if a structure is there. Kinda odd. But even if you place it next to two structures the mine can take out both structures if you use the upgrades scout mine, the unupgrades mine will do about half damage to buildings. It is kinda balanced out though, shipmaster has to give up glassing beam. If you are only spamming infantry, as a UNSC that will force you to tech up marines to repair structures or bring out nightingales to repair the base. If you are banished then you will have to get engineers out to prevent your base destruction and put up a shield generator. It is actually a really nice counter to allow shipmaster to get to mid to late game where he really starts to shine.

This happened to me for the first time in a 1v1 and I was so confused. He garrisoned next to my base very early and kept scout mining my buildings delaying my production. Then he made a strong infantry push and won. I was doing a tech build so I had like 5 marines. Feelsbadman

So this just happened to me, has to be a glitch, otherwise that is Eradication level power when it comes to destroying a base as shipmaster’s second ability. This needs to be fixed.

Yep, just ran into this. It’s cancer. What I did was just spam healing units to recover the damage before the next mine hit.
