Master Sergeant Marcus Peter Stacker. One of the few who have been present for every major battle near the end of the Human-Covenant, including on Installation 04-05, New Mombassa, Voi, and then, in 2557, on Requiem. Whether he’s offering orders, weapons, or a compliment, Stacker was been an unnoticed constant in the most important part of the Master Chief’s career. And now it’s time to give him a solid, important place in the Halo canon.
I would suggest reassigning him to the SPARTAN-IV program and sticking him in charge of a small Fireteam. And then have said Fireteam assist John on the field multiple times in the Campaign, so that Stacker may continue his Sergeantly duties. Or, even better, he can be the new Johnson. God knows we don’t want to keep taking orders from that idiot Palmer.
Stacker is great. “do I look like an ammo bank to you?” love using his voice in firefight.
definitely would like him to have a more visible roll in the campaigns.
I like to see him come back too. Great character in the Halo saga. 343 needs to bring him back. But if he retires then that’s fine he was a great character.

Yes. I loved Stacker and we need a replacement for that hideous Palmer. Plus I always felt like he held a small part of Johnson in him and bringing Stacker back would mean bringing a little bit of Johnson back.
I’m genuinely shocked that Stacker wasn’t a Spartan IV in Halo 4’s campaign.
You’d think that someone that’s fought in and survived just about every major battle towards the end of the Human-Covenant War would be an instant choice for being absorbed into the program.
I wonder if he wasn’t compatible with the augmentations or, on the other hand, had simply declined the offer.

Or he was never offered to begin with. Which makes it an even bigger surprise, given what he’s accomplished. Nathan Fillion or not, Buck hasn’t done -Yoink- compared to what Stacker’s done.

Yes. The white, goatee’d, possibly heavily-armored Johnson. So much better than some prissy, half–Yoinked!- ODST shouting at me to kill all the bad guys so the eggheads can come and do their science.
No… at your last post.
If John was to go rogue, I’d want him to get a few followers of some sort. Maybe Stacker, chips dubbo, Reynolds and a few others could join him?

If he were to go rogue, sure. But we’re basing all this off the assumption that the Master Chief will still be associated with the UNSC. I’ll believe he goes rogue when I hear confirmation of it, and that’s really as far as that theory should go.
And I think Reynolds died in Halo 3. I’m pretty sure I saw his picture at the memorial.
With Sergeant Major Avery J. Johnson gone, I say the Chief needs a new cigar-chomping, super-badass Marine sidekick. Stacker fits the bill nicely.
But he should be a Marine, not a Spartan. He doesn’t need an fancy-schmancy power armor or genetic enhancement to keep up with the Chief. If he’s anything like Johnson, he didn’t much more than sticks; two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon when he first joined the Corp… and they had to share the rock!

Except for the Flood. Johnson was immune to the Flood, but the standard body armor for a Marine is less capable of keeping an Infection Form out. And after the UNSC found out how the Master Chief was almost infected, I imagine later iterations of the MJOLNIR series, particularly GEN2, are more capable of keeping out Flood jabby things. And the last thing we want is for Stacker to survive all this time just to become a yellow space zombie, Korrekt?
Absolutely. Stacker has surely earned the right to have an important role. Hell, he’s at least earned the right to have his name be mentioned in-game. Same goes for good 'ol Chips Dubbo.

Chips died, I think. But Stacker finally got his name seen in Halo 4. When he was giving orders during the Campaign, his name showed up to ID who was talking. Marcus Stacker.

He is in the level Reclaimer after you meet the Librarian and get in the tanks.
On the top left corner you see it says Msgt. Marcus P. Stacker.
Video.
I “found” this image of Sgt. Stacker in full EVA amor … they let him keep his hat.

Ha. Look at his little hat.
