So we know that the Ships on the Infnity, along with the infinity itself, have the energy shields, but all the other ships? Although we don’t know much yet, it think that all the other ships types, maybe excluding Prowlers, have the shields too, it wouldn’t make sense to put the energy shields just on a few ships! What do you thunk?
i think i would like to see that, but you have to remember that the infinity and its deploy able frigates are part of a special program, the tech for ship shielding is most likely expensive as hell and guarded immensely they either can’t afford to put it on every hip or its a good enough reason why not
It would make sense for all their ships to have shields, but for the UNSC to add shields to all its ships (especially older ones) in 4 years would pretty hard.
All the newer ships do I think. Like the Autumn-class.
Hmmm does the shielding on Infinity have to do with it’s Forerunner-like engine?

Ok, so maybe they added them to the new ships. I would like to see the shields in Halo 5

Yes. That’s why it’s shields are so strong that it can ram right through a Covy ship like it’s nothing. The average UNSC ship probably has shields more in line with the Covies.
I believe all new gen ships have energy shields as standard e.g (the Strident Class Frigates, Autumn Class Cruisers) but its most likely the remaining vessels from the Human-Covenant war do not.

Yeah me too.

I think that also the Poseidon Class Light Carrier and the Vindication Class battleship have energy shields, because they are new types too
Are you asking to see the shields or the shield flare?

Oh I completely forgot about those two, yea those will have them as well. I’m i the only one who hates the look of the Poseidon, looks so weird.

I like the new style of the ships, but the poseidon looks like a worm

Yea it looks like a -Yoinking!- whale or something.
Actually it does make sense not to put them on all ships because not everyone receives the same funding. The same thing happens in the real world. Corners get cut to fit a budget.

Very true but considering the Strident has them its expected that vessels of larger tonnage and higher costs will have them as well.
I would assume they’re generally present now… Energy shielding are big big help.

It’d be hard but probably not impossible, considering the UNSC only had a handful of capital ships left after the war anyway.

Well the Stridents were put into service late in the war so they’re new tech. That being said; the huragok that the UNSC acquired will probably help cut down on a lot of the costs of installing and maintaining shields on many ships. That is of course if the UNSC ever gets them on every ship.

Forgot all about those guys, i know the infinity has some but im not sure the UNSC have enough to station one to every ship.
