The speed at which this game moves is second to only Halo 5, and the shield recharge timer feels like it is the longest in the series. It feels after every fight like I am a sitting duck and get picked off immediately by someone rounding a corner. Maps being generally very small does not help this either.
I agree. It feels like I spend way too long sitting in a corner hoping nobody walks by. And especially hard if you’re forced to fight a 3V4. I don’t know the speed but whatever it is it needs to be charged a half second faster

The game just feels like a chore. This are forced penalties IMO.
We are fighting the other team and the game.
It seems this is done to basically limit players. It makes it so frustrating to ever really take on people back to back. You can perform extremely well but then you are running for your life and hiding scared to take a shot because the time is so long.
This right here seems like purposely manipulating the game to ensure psychological feelings out of players.
Combine this with taking almost a full magazine to kill and the dreadful delay in switching weapons and we are just being artifically hindered.

You really wouldn’t have to take out the same person’s shields twice as they wouldn’t survive.
The issue is more about after you win the engagement you don’t have shields for so long you can’t do anything.
We aren’t saying make the shields come back so quick you can’t finish them off…we are saying they stay down for so long we can’t engage or are left sitting ducks half the game.
I don’t think I’d want to play if it charged any quicker. Imagine people just endless stalling by taking some damage, duck and covering, then popping back out a second later to start all over again.
Then there’s game modes where I feel it would just be down right tedious to deal with, like CTF. Where I feel the respawn rates are already a little too fast for my taste. You clear out 4 people, go to grab the flag, and 1 or 2 of them have already respawned back in and now I need to drop the flag to re-engage the enemy again before I can actually get the flag out.
Then you should stop playing like your Shield is your health bar.
This is the beauty of Halo: Your Shield does not dictate if you live or die, your Health does.
Your Shield is basically there to:
Stop headshots
A buffer for mistakes
If you are getting your Shields drained all the time, maybe your placement or positioning is not ideal. Watch your matches and see where you could have moved better.
Also, ducking behind cover is such an anti Halo behaviour. You want to keep moving, preferably under cover. Staying put is asking for a yummy pineapple.
100% I agree. The respawn in CTF is very fast I think this everytime I play. A death should keep someone out for enough time that it works strategically. Thinning out the bunch and kills would feel a little better. Even if just 5 seconds longer maybe even shorter, it would make it a bit more paced and focused. Fast shield would compound the issue the way it is and I believe will stay this way. They did a lot of testing and factored a lot into these things so it has balance.
