Do they stack if you build multiple? I was told they dont, But when I build several, they change colors! The cost also increases.

But the amount of additional shields they get isnt equivalent to the cost you have to spend for more gens. It really isnt worth to get multiple shields on the same base, rather go shield/gen/2× sensor or turret.

Not only do the costs increase but shields only stack at 50% of the original amount. Really no reason ever to build a second gen.

50% was the old number, it’s just 20% now.

Which is too low. Unsc turrets are night and day better.

50% made banished bases unkillable late game when combined with fortifications 3. Their turrets need some work, especially their AI ones. Remember they are cheaper and can have all three upgrades which is a plus. Siege turrets are a bit ridiculous especially Anders/serina but hopefully at some point their turtle potential will be nerfed a bit.

If your base is being attacked start building a 2nd Shield Gen and when it is 3-4 seconds from being build recycle your current Shield Gen and the shield will pop back up at full shield.

I didn’t say anything to counter what you just explained. But please enlighten me on how price vs proformence building multiple shields on a base is. They nerfed it so hard there’s not a point to even have the option. Besides shields Banished turrets are sub par and cloaking gen is rediculously expensive for what it does.

Banished have the most adaptative turrets in the game but that is certainly not a plus Banished need some tweeks when it comes to defenses.

This doesn’t work anymore a shield cannot instantly go back up after being put down. It needs about 15sec or something. wrensi or postums if you read this I’d like to know the details.

That was the biggest issue. Not the face of how strong the shield became. It was I could have 3 shields so it was quite formidable but on top I would build the 4th shield and time it to go up right as the others went down then recycle and repeat. Now that we can’t do that it should go back. Maybe not all the way but more than it is now by far

You still can also long as you have no other shields on them base like Liam said. Honestly I wouldn’t mind if they made it so you had to wait at least 15 seconds or so before it could come up as it is such bs when it happens.

If you get rid of the old shield gen by recycling it like i said it works fine
