I’ve been very patient with this game and 343 as a whole, but after the latest update I can honestly say that this studio is incompetent. How can some players have a near flawless experience while others are struggling to get games online, it’s not like 343 have many variables to worry about like a PC developer, there is only one box, there is only one way to get this to work and they still can’t get it right. I’m having fun with the campaign, still one of the best FPS campaigns around, but the sheer number of problems with this game is not only damaging to the xbox brand, it is damaging the Halo franchise I love. Will I buy Halo 5? Yes I will, but if it’s as bad as this catastrophe of a game I will walk away and never look back. Sure I’ll be devastated, but at least I won’t be around to see this once great franchise die a horrible death.
Ambition outweighed ability - trying to tie together 5 different MP engines was too much - H1, H2, H2A, H3, H4.
Network defaults to P2P rather than servers so everyone’s Xbox is doing the grunt work and you are subject to the random elements of other players’ internet connections.
