Hello Spartans!, I was just curious what game mode on Halo 5 does everyone play to sharper their skills the most?
I’m trying to improve my skills and I was just wondering what people do to do that…
Being “skilled at Halo” is very non-specific thing to talk about. Every game mode requires a different skill set, so if you ask people what they do to sharpen their skills, you will probably get different answers depending on what they play. For example, if you wanted to sharpen your skills in Infection, then you’ll want to get better at using shotguns and swords and finding good hiding spots. But if you wanted to sharpen your skills in 4v4, then you’ll want to improve your pistol accuracy and teamwork. If you wanted to sharpen your skills in firefight, then you’ll have to sharpen your skills of knowing the best req to call in for each round (and also have lots of reqs). So probably the best way to sharpen your skills is just to play a lot of the game mode you want to get more skilled at.

Well sharpening your skill is a bit vague. It depends on what aspects need sharpening.
For example, if you wanted to become more versatile, you’d play more Super Fiesta. If you wanted to sharpen your reaction time and peripheral vision, you’d play SWAT. If you wanted just pure general increase in skill, you’d play a lot of Team Slayer (move with caution, prime tryhard territory here).
If you want to improve your skill, I’d recommend going on Theater and seeing what kinks you need to iron out. Then, decide on a playlist accordingly.

Thanks for your input, I guess I was thinking more of Arena type skills like Slayer, BTB, SWAT, and ETC but you’ve kind of answered that.

SWAT might be what I’m looking for maybe…thanks for your input Spartan.
A good way to improve your reaction time and accuracy with weapons is to play Octagon in customs. The downside is you’ll need to find someone to play it with you.

Thanks Spartan, I’ll check that out for sure.
Play against higher tier opponents. That’s the quickest way to get better

Good idea, thanks for the input Spartan!
I play with my champion tier friends, for the first few months it was hell, but I learned a lot from them and now I can almost compete with them easily

Thats cool Spartan, I guess I’ll need to get my own crew lol.
For arena, Swat and Breakout is good tough love (OH GOD RANKED) otherwise I play Super Fiesta or Slayer.

Been trying Swat lately for accuracy training, helps a bit, I’ll try out Breakout now too, Thanks Spartan!
