Hey is anybody still taking screenshots these days? I just figured Iād check in. I know that Halo MCCās file-sharing system is not really functional or adequate and Halo 4 was a massive letdown theater-wise, but I was wondering if anybody kept up with it. If there is anyone- keep it up! Good memories.
Well then folks, with the new Preview update for the Xbox One, we can now finally Share MCC Screenshots to the world via Upload!
To make it work, just do what you would in Theater, but once it is time to take a Screenshot, you hide the menu and then say:āXbox take a Screenshot!ā
Sadly the double tap of the central button on your controller and then pressing Y does not work, as you get the Pause menu instead. So vocal commands only.
And this is how Halo 2 Anniversary Screenshots look untouched or FXād with my dream of Grifball one day being implementedinto Halo 2: Anniversary, along with a Gravity Hammer:
Seems like I found this place rather late, but anyways hereās a cool trick Iād like to share. I havenāt seen anyone else use it yet so I hope you find it helpful.
How to:
You will need at least one player with active camo on and a sniper rifle.
Once on theater mode, get inside the rifleās scope.
Once inside the scope look at the edges facing at the player that is holding the rifle. If done correctly, the different faces of the scope should act as mirrors showing different parts of the screen.
It seems a lot of the screenshot community has either migrated to the Xbox One or away from Halo. Sigh, hopefully in time this thread will become vibrant again with daily posts.
I can honestly say it is nice to see you making a return RECEPTOR 17, and Iām glad to see as usual, youāre creating awesome grifball photos. Keep up the nice work.
It also appears that there are a couple of new photographers. I greet you and welcome you Black0raz0r and kevinet496 to the screenshot community here on Halo Waypoint. It might not be that active right now, but in time once Halo 5 has been released, it should pick up again. You both have nice contributions and I hope to see more from you two again soon. Nice trick by the way kevinet496. Iām glad to see that there are still new screenshot tricks available for Halo 4.
I have some new screenshots from Halo 4 to share, and these were created for an art trade on DeviantArt with CommanderNova702. I was happy to show Nova some of the unique lighting FX that can be created using forge elements on Shatter and Wreckage, and well, the photos should speak for themselves. Note that some photos were setup in a format to be computer wallpapers.

You could take the screenshot putting into consideration of the thing in the corner so you can cut it out and not have it effect the picture. Its what I plan to do for the symbols and so on in Halo ODST.

Well those were taken before the new feature. Theyāve been in my fileshare for a while. Now I wonāt have to use the camera feature in Theater whatsoever. I can just send them straight to Upload Studio, so problem solved.
The only thing is, I really liked those shots. I suppose it wouldnāt be hard to recreate them.
Also folks, weāre trying to keep the Friday Caption Contest going, go make sure to submit a picture. It can be anything Halo related or from any game. And with the screenshot function for the XB1, hopefully you guys can get some great pictures from the older games.
Little tip: using the āBlindā skull clears your HUD, so you can get some good stuff from CEAās or H2Aās campaigns that isnāt ruined by HUD clutter.
