My favorite of your bunch so far is the one titled ‘Quarterback’. The ‘Insert Reference Here’ shot I tagged ‘Charger’ (it was me, mwhahaha!) as a reference. 
Nitro and Blasting Light have some extraordinary ones included in there as well already… whew

@MrMartini The color scheme that you were shooting for is very appealing, but the next gen “foggy shading” effect deters from what it could be.
@ComicBeast I like the shots, background color and map itself is nice, though standard. Lighting is a tad intense, very bright, but nonetheless enjoyable to look at.
I will be setting mine up in due time, quite busy at the moment. So soonish. :3

@Lizking - Enjoyed the visit last evening, thank you for showing me around and letting me “borrow” several of your maps. You are quite the map forger and I am really looking forward to see if I can do them justice.
@VinylLeader - I played around on several of your maps. My favorite was “Swamp”, I am still trying to come up with a theme for a shot, some day…. Thank you for letting us run around and great maps!
@MrMartini - I really like both of your shots. I had to go back and forth for a favorite. Quarterback is my favorite and I really like the background on the “IFRH”.
@ComicBeast - “Baller” is my favorite, Great job on using the FX, I can never get my shots the way I want them with anything other than Juicy and Colorblind.

I saved a map for Quickochet (Haven) and have several new shots for this weeks Quarterback theme:
“Bring’n the Heat” The red flames showed up pretty nice for this shot, I really need a dark background to bring them out.
“In the Zone” A little washed out, but I liked how some of light rays are blocked by the ball and Spartan.
“Mars - God of War” I tried to get this pose in another color and gave up. I also liked how the light was filtered in this one.
“Double Play” Something a little different, I thought the shadow turned out pretty clear.

I’ve put my shot up, I made it as a benign entry, more for the heck of it. It is titled “CABOOSE!”
I didn’t follow the “thrown” guideline, as it is a bit monotonous due to the few frames that are decent in the animation that will be and have been milked dry, so maybe next time.
Hello screenshotters, I haven’t posted here in a while due to the recent themes and my dislike for them (or maybe its just my inability to work with them haha). Anyways, I think I like this suppressor theme, yet there’s nothing new really posted yet. I’m going to break that ice, here goes.

I haven’t got something good done in a while, so this is a bit of an end of a dry streak for me. Any words on this screenshot are more than welcome.
“Hey Sniper, why is the Spartan all the way on the left of the shot?”
Good question. Its because I wanted to give the feeling of an arrival, hence “Heaven Sent.”
Anyways, I also pulled up a screenshot from the shotgun theme way back that I never posted. Its a little ways down in my file share and named “Vices.” I hope you guys enjoyed these, as I’ve been heavily enjoying what you guys have been putting out recently. Keep the goodness coming guys.

Dude I’ve been in the same boat. Glad to here that I’m not the only one who dropped out of it for a bit. Yeah this theme seems more versatile so I’m guessing there’ll be more submissions for this one.
Anyway, I really like your shot! I think you did a great job with composing the shot here. There’s action to it- like you said, he’s arriving. There’s a good color scheme (yellow/white/pinkish), it fits perfectly with the title. The armor was a very good choice, and… Well… It has a suppressor in it. Haha. 
Ok so I whipped up a pretty simple shot for the new theme. The effect is actually pretty neat because it inverts the player’s armor colors. The problem is that it kind of looks like it’s just the Next Gen filter but I actually just used Juicy and Colorblind.
So in this shot my armor colors were yellow primary with purple secondary and purple visor. It turned out like this: | CHARGED

I like it because of how the clouds look like they’re wrapping around the Spartan. Other than that it’s very plain.
@ stealth4ce: “Charged” is great. Not sure how you did it, but I like it.
For the “Suppressor” theme, I’m not having much luck. I got one that like and six pretty lame ones.

I apparently missed out on quite a bit since my last post and have racked up a bit of photos. Apparently, so have other waypointers and photographers, but unlike myself, who forgot, lol, they posted theirs.
I did not actively participate in the current theme as I do not have a good understanding of sports, and with how many people where I locally live discuss almost nothing but sports(Due to the city’s history), it’s kinda annoying. Still though, that does not mean I will shun creativity in this aspect as many of the digital photographers have some interesting photos.
MrMartini85, Out of your two new photos, I really like your ‘Quarterback’ photo as it has a metallic/embossed feel to it. Very nice utilization of colorblind and next gen FXs as both really bring out the effect. Both photos are nice, but ‘Quarterback’ really stands out. Also, for your supressor theme, the idea of a Blue/Steel FX is very nice on Landfall with the given Supressor. Great job with your photos.
Comicbeast1212, you have some rather bright photos, but it seems you utilized the Nova FX really well on Monolith. You managed to bring out the colors of your Spartan’s Armor and Visor rather well this way. Kudos to you as not too many people can achieve desired results with the Nova FX. Great job .
Z6NITRO, all of your photos seem to be action based, which is great for the current theme. You also managed to utilize the quickochet gametype to match the colors of the utilized armor in the photos (Red and Blue, I caught onto that. Very nice.) . My favorite of the first five is ‘Bring’n the Heat’ in this photo, you managed to pull off a darkened effect with the oddball illuminating the area a bit.
As from our game night Z6NITRO, I found ‘Red Banded Bumblebee’ to have humor in a way that is different from yours. I get your humor with the photo (The flower and the floating ghost with my Spartan-IV looking over), but it is also humorous from my perspective as this was the point in that game where I grabbed a Ghost due to nothing else working and getting a triple kill/ three splatters in a row, kinda like a raging bull, lol.
As from the second set of three, I see you put more attention on the oddball itself, and the red glow it emits. In each photo you managed to pull off some nice FX, but my favorite of the second set is ‘Exploding Fastball’. The reds and blues are very nice, and the photo has a bit of a dynamic feel to it. I would love to view this photo with 3-D Glasses . Well done with your photos and I hope the maps I gave you can help out with future screenshots .
Spark918, you really created a humorous photo with ‘CABOOSE!!!’ Kudos to you for the laughs, as well as a tip of the hat.
topsniper707, "Heaven Sent’ is a very nice light colored photo. Did your lighting come from the Nova FX or an explosion? However you created this photo, is is really nice, well done .
Stealth4ce, you have an interesting photo going with ‘|CHARGED’ I see that the Next Gen FX is working very well for you for this dynamic effect, but are you on Adrift, or using a Kill Ball for the Orange Background? Either way, nicely done . Very nice photos .
To ensure I have space to post my new photos, I will have to create another post.
As for new photos, with the exception of one, they are all from actual matchmaking for a change rather than from forge or custom games. I did happen to play some of the Patriotic variant of Team Regicide and had fun with it. From the gameplay, I found two good photos.
I also had a recent game of Flood where I Joined in progress with a DMR and was considered a third team. I was able to kill both Spartans and Flood. When the next round started, total hilarity ensued due to the glitch that occured. I will let the photo speak for itself. Basically this is what happens when Flood drink Cherry AMP Energy and are able to focus enough as a result to the point of having better motor skills, lol. They still need cookies, lol.
As from a Recent Heavies Match with Z6NITRO and Tico Dem0n, I have quite the bit of interesting photos, Perdition is such an awesome map. Thank you both for the fun times.

Haha I feel the same way! It’s hard coming from Kansas where the best sports team is soccer… The Chiefs and Royals never really do too hot so I don’t even track them. So… Yeah I know basically nothing about sports.
Thank you very much for the feedback, bud! I’m hoping that I can find a way to make it not appear like Next Gen is on, because it kind of negates the coolness of the effect when people have instant access to a filter that basically gives them the same result. I was hoping to revive the “Rainbow Infinity” effect I found on Halo: Reach (example). The effects both take colors and invert them but this one on Halo 4 kind of bleaches some of the color which is a problem. 
Anyway to answer your questions- I was not on Adrift nor did I use a kill ball for the background. Haha. Good theories though for sure!

For being a matchmaking picture… This is pretty good! This one was my favorite of the bunch because I love the mist-like explosion behind the spartan. It adds a really cool mysterious element I guess. The actual gauss “beam” is kind of distracting, but I guess it fits your theme if you’re referring to the movies where they’re meant to go around killing people. I like it! Keep it up.

I’m happy that you liked Purge due to the mist-like explosion from the gauss cannon. I wasn’t thinking of movies at all though. What came to mind was a Magic: The Gathering card called Soul Nova and I am sure you’ll understand once you see the card. Kinda gives ideas for future screenshots for sure.

Here, I kinda tried to tell a story. The Forerunners disappeared from the galaxy hundreds of thousands of years ago. In the shot, a Perfect-clad solider (Forerunner armor) is hidden in the shadows with a Forerunner weapon, as if the shadow was it’s disappearance…
Yeah, I know, cut the cheesy canon stuff, and move on to the next screenshot, Comic!

Love this shot. I’m surprised I don’t see more shots with Solace’s star thingy in the background, it’s very nice for screenshots. Or, everybody probably thought the same thing and the shots got old after the first month.

However, I also took this a couple of days ago, so we’re either copying each other’s armor or just have very similar tastes … lol

I’m loving the joke. Haha. You’ve got yourself a good taste in humor.
Anyway Forgotten is my favorite of the batch. I am always interested in seeing shots that tell stories like that. I feel like that just shows a lot of development in the artist’s ability to relate ideas to people. So… Bravo on doing just that. I think your story fits the shot very nicely. The colorlessness of the shot is beautifully accurate. It just seems like anything Forgotten should be in black and white, you know? Then your time and effort in setting up the full-forerunner armor/weapon/location payed off for sure.
I’m impressed! Keep 'em coming.
