Yeah I’m pumped! If they’re actually going to let us use theater in campaign/spartan ops… Oh dear. That will be amazing. I am still shocked about even seeing these great games making a comeback but to hear that theater is making a return is revitalizing. I hope more people latch onto the creative outlets once the collection is released.
The only problem is… I don’t have an Xbox One and I don’t know if I’ll be getting one because of college. 
The campaigns in theater would make gods cry and men melt.

Listen man, I spent over four years in college studying History & Political Science and now I make less than $10 an hour working in a kitchen while trying to dodge the student loan people, there’s nothing out there right now (unless you’re going for something people actually care about; I mean, History? What was I thinking) … get an Xbox.

What I’m wondering is here on Waypoint, will the screenshot themes encompass all the games now? For example, “Next week’s theme is the Bruteshot, tag you favorite Halo 2 Anniversary & Halo 3 screenshots with ‘bruteshot’ …”
Also, can you toggle graphics in theater, or will it only show what you toggled whilst playing?

> And yeah that is a good question… I think they should make 343i favorites instead of the spotlights… Bungie favorites was so inspiring to people. I think it would help the screenshot community grow again.

Agreed.
The graphics are top-notch. Who needs filters and complicated effect sequences when a plain screenshot is equally as breathtaking? 
@Stealth4ce and MrMartini - Yep! Really looking forward to the potential for screenshots in the MC collection. Campaign shots in the updated 2 will be a new experience. I have never played 2 or CE, so this will be interesting juggling time between screenshots and playing the games… Already intiiated my XboxOne savings plan.

And graduating college is definently worth it, just saying…

I was wondering this too. I heard that even though Halo 3 didn’t get the full revamping treatment (which is fine by me), it is higher quality. As I’ve been revisiting Halo 3 and ODST, I’ve realized that many of the cool effects turn the screenshot negative in color and also pixelize the screenshots. In some instances the pixels are cool but I think it could potentially look even sweeter if it blended better.
I’m hoping that the same effects are possible, though. I’m scared that even changing the quality might somehow make it impossible to replicate old effects… But… Hopefully not. Like… I hope that shadows + flares work the same way and hopefully the same lighting effects will be present. And please tell me that you can get close to explosions without it disappearing like you could before. So many things I want to see make a comeback and I just have the irrational fear that they might have done more than heighten the quality.
Now I’m beginning to wonder if you could transfer old Halo 3 files to the Xbox One via flashdrive or something. And I’m hoping they increased the local files limit. Being only able to have 50 local screenshots on Halo 3 and ODST is a pain. Ah! There’s so many things running through my mind relating to screenshots and I might not even be getting the Xbox One. I’m being too curious!

I don’t see the point in getting The master chief collection.Its just the core games but re-textured to currently look new.Is the experience really going to seem any better just because there are some pretty lens flares and metal actually looks like metal now.Bit of a waste of money,just like the Xbox one.
Also what is the new screenshot theme this week? I want to dive right into the screenshot shooting.I know I was away for a number of weeks,that’s probably why Stealth4ce decided to go back on Halo.

Not sure is it this one For your chance at being in the next spotlight, take a screenshot that features a Ghost and then tag it with “Ghost” and “Halo Waypoint,” and maybe, just maybe, yours will be featured in the next Halo Bulletin!?

Well opposed to contrary belief I actually don’t track down when you’re on Xbox or not. Just started getting back into it.
And yeah the theme right now is “ghost” but you might want to hurry taking one because it’s already been more than a week since the last bulletin so they might put up a new one soon. Looking forward to seeing what you make!

Yeah I don’t know if it’s worth the money just for it looking newer. I think the reason that it’s attracting so many people (myself included) is because it brings back a lot of memories and in a way suggests a revival of the thriving community that Halo players once new. Man I would totally buy an Xbox One and the Collection and Halo 5 if it meant getting to talk to all the people in Mythic Photographers, Forever Forgers, etc. again.
But yeah the experience probably won’t be that different.
