Share Your Screenshots, Tips, and Tricks

Wow. I cannot believe I actually placed first! That Storm Rifle skin is looking pretty schnazzy. Thanks a bunch, lizking, for hosting this competition. I’m so glad that I specialize in breaking things. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good Morning/Evening everyone!

My 3 entries for this weeks mostly black and white “BlackWhite” spotlight theme.

All were taken with Pen and Ink FX only and on Elite Tenures USOL_DGI Space Station Map/Forge Art.

This is another new effect for me and can be done on any map, I just happen to be on this map when I found it and liked the area.

Work in Progress

Etched Defender

Bust’n Out

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s screenshots this week and Good Luck to all those participating in the “BlackWhite” theme!

Just messing around, thought I would submit this time:

Hollowed

Welcome to the UNSC

Keep up the great work everyone!
You guys and gals are doing awesome!!!

Well I can’t say that I’m too proud of this one, but figured I might as well post it. It’s very bland, but I think it looks ok.

| ASH

@Deluca - Just passing through? Hope all is going well and my favorite of your two is “Welcome to the UNSC” . You haven’t lost your touch, Thanks for stopping by!

@Stealth4ce - Really nice screenshot for Bland… Great definition of your spartan.

Josh - 0iah “15th Screenshot Montage” is posted on YouTube! Several of the screenshot forum contributors are included in this installment, congratulations and enjoy!

Have a great rest of the week and looking forward to seeing your screenshots!

> I’m so glad that I specialize in breaking things. :stuck_out_tongue:

Best thing I’ve heard all week… this cracked me up.

So… I’m back.
Screenshots. They take time. They are sometimes frustrating. And above all… amazing. It’s almost silly to think how a video game can capture light effects, sunlight glimpses and reflects, natural wonders… it’s awesome. I’m impressed with every screenshot I’ve seen so far… and that montage pushed the limits.

So on topic. This week’s BlackWhite theme. Yesterday, I hop on and tried to do some shots. Solo. Lucky for me, lizking knew to come to my rescue and help out with the work, closely followed by Striking Fate. Big thanks to both you!

After giving me some helpful pointers (which I already forgot) and chasing each other with power weapons, here’s the outcome. Hopefully lizking can use that film better than I could…

Stargazing
Striking Fate looks at the beauty of the night sky. Through a Spartan Laser scope.

When the Cop Says Freeze…
…you best freeze.

That’s Not My Phone!
On Spartan armor… where does one put their cell? Let this be lesson to not put it by the plasma grenades!
Another accidental shot. A duel between lizking and I with a funny 'nade placement that I discovered after I went through the clip.

So there you have it. I’ve seen the other shots for the theme. STRAIGHT UP SAUCESOME. Fav out of ALL of them… ‘Welcome to the UNSC’. It’s simple, yet menacing. So it’s gonna be tough to try and make the cut… whatever expectations you guys had for me…

Holy Stromboli, those are some good screenshots this week!

I really like “PUPPET SHOW” by stealth4ce & “Welcom to the UNSC” by deluca34 … and topsniper707’s “Wander” … and, well, actually they’re all pretty sweet. Except for that Martini guy’s where he’s got the Spartan pointing the sniper rifle into, what, a tree branch? I mean, come on, what kind of composition is that? lol

Next week–well, the week after E3–is “ghost”, so Z6nitro, if you haven’t tagged that glitched shot with “ghost” I think you ought to.

Congratulations All! Well deserved.
It was really good to see all the screenshots submitted by so many screenshot artists and how well represented the forum crew was in this weeks bulletin :D.

@Martini - Yep, I tagged the glitch and I also tagged the one from Lizkings Shatter map. Good luck to all on the Ghost theme.

Lot’s of hype for Halo at E3. Hopefully the announcements will include news about the potential for screenshots in the upcoming launches.

Have a great rest of the week!

Congratulations to all who made the update! I agree, the screenshots this week were really great. I noticed some familiar names on there, so an extra clap for you guys.

Now to figure out what to do for the ghost theme… Haha.

Alright I made my ghost shot and I actually like this one. Woohoo! I was just about to give up because I wasn’t getting what I was hoping for but then I moved the camera an inch (ok I don’t know how far it would be in Halo, but just stick with me) and the effect showed up. So that’s good. I was getting nervous.

Anyway, here it is:
| PARASITE

I guess I didn’t have a solid concept before going into the game but it turned out nicely. After I took the picture, the name “parasite” came instantly to mind because of the green color and the fact that the spartan is an unwanted present to the (g)host. Get it? The host… But… A ghost. Hehe. Oh I crack myself up.

So now that I’ve got my ghost shot out of the way I reckon I can relax for the rest of the week. Maybe I should start working on a walkthrough…

Haha… didn’t think I’d make it.
But a lot of well-deserving Waypointians did. In my opinion, it was one of the best bulletin spotlights this year! Congrats to stealth4ce on getting a two-in-one!

So… the Ghost theme, eh?
Now that courses are done for a while, and exams are out of the way, I have a lot more freetime on my hands. And some of that freetime is going to be to improve on my screenshot skills.

stealth4ce: Parasite is a great shot! I love it, and how well the title fits the pic!

Thank you and thank you! I appreciate that!

That’s great that you’re seeking growth, man. I really respect that. I’m looking forward to seeing what you make. Should be good.

Here are my “Ghost” shots:

“Overly Ambitious Ghost”

“Air Ghost”

“Ghost Jump”

“Ghost Wheelie”

“Ghost”

> Here are my “Ghost” shots:
> “Ghost Jump”

This one is my favorite of the bunch. I like the solid background. It makes the ghost really stand out. Also the way that the ghost is tilting is pretty cool looking.

@MrMartini - My favorites are “Air Ghost” and “Ghost”. For Ghost, I really like the background and how you caught the electrical charge while the ghost was airborne. Good job on all!

Stealth4ce - Parasite, “WOW” really impressive! Clarity, unique skin, stance, title, it has it All. Great screenshot

I am still messing around with Pen and Ink.

For me, it appears Impacts ink color is very black (India ink) on a very white medium, Pitfall has a brownish/green ink color and dull media, Monolith is more of a light blue on white.

I have 2 new shots, one on Pitfall and another on Impact. I have not liked anything I have done on Monolith yet.

Dazed

Cosmic Dust

Have a great weekend All!

I must admit… I’m impressed that you can make something with pen&ink. I have yet to be successful with that. I am liking what I’m seeing. Like… The pictures you’re taking are actually very cool looking. Of these two I like Dazed the best. I just like how the rigidness of the pen&ink is almost like a frame around the spartan. Very cool. Looking forward to seeing what more you can do with this.

“Dazed” is now my wallpaper, and I don’t do that very often. That is a great shot.

@Stealh4ce and MrMartini - Thank You! It is very much appreciated

Sorry for the week without anything new from me guys. But here, I’ll make it up to you.

Never Lose Hope
(My File Share of course >_<)

I honestly think this is my best shot so far in the little while I’ve been here. But don’t take my word for it, what do you guys think?

Also, I might have a ghost screenshot out soon. It all depends if I can rally a few of my friends on Halo.

Other than that guys, I’m liking what you guys are putting out. I’m having trouble keeping up. cough Parasite cough But as always, keep the goodness coming people.

Really Like “Never Lose Hope” Well Done!

Greatly appreciate Topsnipers time and the screenshot discussion’s yesterday and today.

I would like to present “Dawn Sentinels

Topsniper is excellent at setting screenshots up and my ONLY contribution for this screenshot was camera angle.

Enjoyed the time and hope we have an opportunity in the future for another session.
