Looks great!
REACH:
I took a few new Reach shots. Here you go:
And finally, one from Halo 4 that I just love:
Got a new shot here that’s not for the FOTUS gallery. I’m pretty happy with it even though it is too bright on the computer. Lemme know what you guys think c:
Burnt Down-We fight and are burnt down; we stand and are burnt down; we fall and are burnt down.

That is sweet, how’d you do that?
I believe it involves the yellow highlighting in forge. It was pretty well executed I might add. Liked the screenshot

Yep! The yellow highlight with a Gravity Volume produces various effects at different angles. It was kind of difficult to utilize though because I was playing by myself with a single controller.
Good evening fellow photographers and forge artists.
I have finally hit the end of my vacation from work, so I wish to share the photos that I have captured, some with the help of other photographers from this thread, but before I do that, let me see what I missed out on since I last posted.
topsniper707, I liked your FOTUS themed screenshots. You made nice utilization of the colorblind FX in both photos, which for ‘Paradise Lost’ gave it a foggy background feel and brought out the armor more clearly. ‘Conquer Your Demons’ is a bit different in a good way, and using the Next Gen FX for additional emphasis was a nice touch. As for a bit of constructive criticism on ‘Conquer Your Demons’, with utilizing such FX, I would recommend being a bit more careful with what weapon you choose to have your Spartan-IV carry, as I actually mistook the Sticky Detonator as a third arm at first.
Z6NITRO, you seem to have some nice FOTUS themed photos as well. ‘Home Front’ was a nice combination of Elite Tenure’s custom map and your Spartan-IV in dark FOTUS armor. The photo has a feel as if he is guarding the base in the background. In one of your other photos, ‘Knight Luminenscence’, your FOTUS Spartan’s armor is dark, yet has a bit of a shine to it. This is nice when combined with the dark blue background with the moon and stars with it. Nice job on your photos.
MrMartini85, you have some really nice FX going for you in ‘Dont Cross the Streams’. I know you used the Juicy FX, but to have whitish/yellowish electricity hitting your Spartan-IV. Very nice FX find. Also out of your tribute to Linda 052 photos, I can say I really like ‘Skill’. This photo has the feel of a female Mark V hunting in a humid jungle. Well done with your screenshots.
Maverick T532, welcome to the photographer community here on Halo Waypoint. You happen to have some nice photos and thank you for sharing them with us. I dunno how you managed to pull off a cartoon FX, but I like what I am seeing in ‘Cartoon Style’. I really like the dynamic vertigo effect you pulled off in ‘Mysterious Figure’. Definately a photo that can mess with people’s eyes and head. Did you happen to use the Nova and Juicy FXs and a Pulse Grenade for this FX? Well done with your screenshots.
Tayderp, you have a pretty interesting FOTUS themed photo going that you captured. ‘Gripped by Malice’ has a nice FX from the Warm Reds and Cool Blue colors clashing, which actually is a bit different. Is this photo 3D? I ask because I don’t have 3D glasses, but I am curious. ‘Burnt Down’ utilizes warms colors rather well, especially combined with certain FXs. Well done with your photos.
Gothic Lucy, it was really fun helping you out with your screenshot ‘Divinity’. I really had no idea what FX you were trying to achieve at first, and it was really simple, yet dynamic. Amazing job on the idea, FX, and screenshot, and I am glad I was able to help you with your FOTUS screenshot.
stealth4ce, I also like your FOTUS screenshot ‘|Shadelight’. Nice utilization of the colorblind FX and dominion monitor to create a photo that has the feel of this Spartan-IV on a mission possibly within a Covenant cruiser of sort. I am also still amazed with your photos that utilize a luminiscent effect, and I can honestly say you are not modding, that your methods are legit. For the visor fx, I am still stumped, and I respect at this point that this is an FX you don’t want to share how to do. Great job with your screenshots.
I happen to have some new photos, but due to post size limits, I will have to create a second post to continue, so I will begin by posting a couple new photos from a game of Mini Slayer Cizlin and I had fun in.
Now, I was stumped on how to create a bioluminiscent effect generally speaking and after trying for hours own my own and failing, I asked some of the other photographers in this thread for help and Receptor 17 answered kindly and invited Gothic Lucy and Cyrodragon95 to help as well, and through photos I would like to share the results, as well as explain them as there is quite a bit to learn from this, and some tricks will be shared here as well.
To create a bioluminiscent effect, which works on any map, but most efficiently on Shatter, use the Juicy and Nova FXs and place green lights where you want them for the added emphasis. This FX shows best on armors that have any of the following color schemes: Green, Sage, Olive, Steel, and Grey. The visors that respond the best to the FX are the midnight, verdant, and stalker visors. Verdant will have a greener shine, and the FX comes out a bit better with the Stalker visor. This FX does not work well with any visor that has any shades of blue or purple in them. If you utilize this FX properly, you should get something that looks like these photos:
Now on Shatter, if you would like to change the whole map just about to bioluminiscent in effect, you can use both next gen and nova FXs. While messing around with such an FX, there is one weapon that responds very well and vibrantly glows with this FX, which is the Magnum FLR, as you can see in this photo:
There were other things we came across as well. One of the finds was really amazing and a great find, and that was the hidden crystal cluster, and how it responded to blue and green lights put inside of it when the Juicy and Nova FXs were active. To have a darker crystal top, you would put the blue light slightly higher inside that the green, and for the opposite, well vice versa, as you can see in this photo:
Another FX discovered was how to make the Hexagonal honeycombs on the Ghost to appear vibrantly, which can be done with the combination of green and yellow lights together while the Juicy and Nova FXs are active, which can be seen in this photo:
Another neat FX are bright colors with using the Nova FX, bright lights, and bright armor/visors, which can be seen in this photo:
Also, for neat photos with vibrant colors to use with Forge Monitors, you can simply create a ‘cyan’ light from a green and blue light put together, which gives the Monitor a vibrant glow, which can be seen in this photo:
The other photos I will post are from our experimentation from when we were having fun and trying to figure out the bioluminiscent FX.
Helping the Monitor
Evade the Light
Sparks
Ball of Light
Phantom Light
Golfing
Ouch
On the Tele
Piggyback Ride
Distortion
Cavern Exploration
Vivid Assassination
So thank you Receptor 17, Gothic Lucy, and Cyrodragon95 for helping me figure out how to create bioluminiscent FX. I wouldn’t have figured it out on my own otherwise, and I hope you enjoy the screenshots from our testing. I am getting an error message about exceeding the character limit even though I have not, so I will have to finish up in a third post.
Now, for those who want to experiment with the bioluminiscent FX, or are skeptical of it, you can download the test maps to your Xbox360 here , here , and here .
Also, I have four more photos. I have recently unlocked my Cyan Visor, and I wanted to capture a couple of photos with it, so these are the photos I have taken:
Moving Forward .
Cyan Visor I .
Cyan Visor II .
My last photo is from the Husky Raid match where DHG Siul S249 earned a Killionaire and Extermination. Tip of the hat to you sir:
That is all I have, my vacation from work is over. Thanks to everybody here in the Halo community who made it fun, have a great night, and keep the awesome photos coming
.

The effect is actually me getting shot by an autosentry … the little burst that happens when its projectile impacts.
“Quite the Headache” is great, btw.
Here’s one from earlier today that is just plain … well, immature and stupid, but funny nonetheless. It’s of a very unfortunate rocket trajectory:
You know Lizking, your shot on Shattered where you go in-depth in detail in how it can be done looks extremely similiar to my shot from a couple weeks ago.
Tainted
The map, suggested colors for armor and visor, weapon, and close proximity to a green light with dark background with suggested effects are all under the parameters you listed.
The awkward similarity struck me immediately so I felt I needed to post this. ( All in good taste, of course
)

Thanks, man! Yeah, I used the Juicy and Nova FX. In Cartoon style, I got that effect by overcharging a Plasma pistol and then zooming in on my character. In Mysterious figure, I got the blur effect from an Incineration cannon explosion. I tried getting something with the Pulse grenade, but couldn’t take a pretty cool screenshot with it, sadly.
Thanks again! Like your screenshots, by the way.

Man, that’s a lot of screenshots. They do look cool! Congratulations!
Hey guys, I have some ideas for some more screenshots. However, I’m gonna need 2 or 3 people for them, so if anyone can help out, that’d be great. I live in Croatia, I’m usually online around 7 - 10 PM CET on weekdays, and 4 - 7, 8, 9 or 10 PM CET. If anyone wants to help, reply to this post or send me a message on Xbox LIVE.
Really hoping Outbreak makes it to the next bulletin. Kind of old, but I hope.
I am also planning to resume my screenshots this month
Good luck to everybody, and see you all soon!
I’ve recently started getting back into the whole screenshot thing so I would like to share this one here.
Story behind it:
Wanted to make a series of black and white screenshots. No fancy effects. Just simple B&W.
I like this because it reminds me halo 1 when first go through the jungle before you meet the flood.
Please tell me what you guys think?

I think it looks pretty cool! It really does look Like the swamp from Halo 1.

Thank you!
Glad it looks like that. it was sorta what I was aiming for!
Didn’t make the bulletin but oh well. I still made some great shots. I’m not going for the bulletin this week as I don’t have Skyline but goodluck to everyone else. (Extra luck to those who post here
)
Later today or tomorrow I will post some news shots.
