Good afternoon everybody, I happen to have new photos to share, but I see a new person in this thread. Welcome to the screenshot thread and community creations part of the forum S452. It’s nice to have a fellow forge artist aboard. Let us take a new look at all the new artwork via photos that people have shared, but before I start, congratulations to everybody who had their photo featured for the ‘purple’ theme. ‘FOTUS’ is this week’s theme and good luck to all photographers who have contributions for this week’s contest.
Now, S452, I am really happy to see you have taken my recommendation and posted your awesome forge art here in this thread. From what you told me, this is the first time you actually created forge art, and the construction of this is amazing, and if I am not mistaken, this is your tip of the hat to the Godzilla 2014 movie coming out soon. Nice way to promote it, well done with your forge art.
If you would like special FX S452, I am sure you know of your basic FX under gadgets in forge. If you want to spice this up a bit, add colorblind and stand in a soft death barrier until you die and respawn. The significance of this is when you go into theather mode and you are on your Spartan a couple of seconds to the second before your spartan dies, you will get a reddish effect. With the video paused at this point, you can go away from your spartan and look at your creation with the red effect, which will make your forge art represent the poster even more so . Outside of the red effect missing, truely an awesome piece of forge art, especially for a first timer. I hope you continue to create forge art as you do a really good job with it.
stealth4ce, I really enjoyed viewing your creations for the ‘purple’ theme. ‘|Eminence’ is extremely vivid, and you really managed to capture an image that is purple all round with many shades of it. ‘|Byzantium’ has some nice mist effect in the background of both purple and orange mists. I dunno how you manage to figure out how to create such awesome FX, but keep up the great job on your photos.
topsniper707, glad to see that you managed to get the link issues resolved. I also like your new photo ‘Vengeance’ as well. Nice utilization of the Next Gen FX with an assassination animation, and for your background, did you use Pitfall for your map. The photo itself due to the elements you used has a dark feel to it. Very nice photo with dynamic elements. Keep up the great work on your photos.
I actually have several photos to share with everybody today, and I will start off with my contribution to this week’s ‘FOTUS’ theme. I actually haven’t done a photo that was both clean in humor and funny at the same time. Well, this week’s challenge changed that. I really enjoyed the flavor text of the FOTUS Legging, which is “Recieved excessively high movement proficiency ratings for coffee runs on rainy days.” With that an idea came to mind, and this is the end result.
Also recently, I have been in the mood to do another ‘Game within a game’ photo and what I mean by that is reference another game using Halo 4. I have done this once before with the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (For those who didn’t previously see, click here .) . Well, I have decided to do this for another game created by Bethesda, and please don’t think I am doing this trying so say another company is better than the other one or that I am trying to irritate people. I did this for fun and creative purposes, so with out further a do, I present:
The idea with ‘Fallout’ was to make a Spartan-IV look as close a possible to a ‘Brotherhood of Steel’ member from the Fallout series that wore power armor. Utilizing both Colorblind and Old-Timey FXs, I managed to create a nice older-looking photo.
I have four other photos as well, from the night that I joined with with S452 and a couple of his friends and had a fun night playing Halo. Good puns, stories, and gameplay made for a perfect night. These screenshots were from that time:

‘Impacted’ was a photo where S452 was hit by a railgun shot and a spartan laser simultaneously, creating a neat explosive laser effect. ‘Bad Move’ is a photo that only the people playing that night will understand as it infers to some of the puns that were bring said during the games. ‘Bow Like a Gentleman’ was something I caught right at the end of the game, and I am grateful that I was paying attention, or I would’ve overlooked such a photo. ‘Deja Vu’ is called just that as it is a repeat of what happened on a game of Solace a while ago with another set of friends, which you can see here .
I want to thank S452, Cizlin, and Strikingfate for the fun night, photo ops, and good laughs. I hope everybody enjoyed the photos, have a great day and keep the awesome photos coming .
Newest creation is actually what I ended up with when I went back to redo | BYZANTIUM.
I decided not to go with the Old Timey look this time and I think it worked out.
The idea is that he’s holding some sort of chemical container or battery. I think it worked out, but of course I’m biased. So you be the judge!
If there was anything I could fix with this, I would make the colors more juicy. Unfortunately this is with the Juicy filter on so there’s nothing I can really do about it. Oh well. 
With purple over with, FOTUS comes into the light. I feel you get more freedom with your shots as your subject is easier to capture. That’s my opinion anyway. I poured my heart into these shots, I hope you guys and gals enjoy them!

Congrats to all those included in last weeks “Purple” Bulletin. Some really excellent Screenshots!
Purple was a bust for me. I was on Ascent and FX’d (Juicy, ColorBlind, and I think Nova) the lake to a deep dark violet. I could never match an amor color that would do the lake color justice.
I totally agree with Topsniper707, Fotus seems a little easier to get my arms around. “Conquer Your Demons” was my favorite of your two.
With that said, it was suggested to me to try Black amor.

What’s up everybody?
Well, I don’t have the FOTUS helmet so that’s not going to happen. So instead I whipped up a couple new flood shots. Here they are!
| AN HONEST ARRANGEMENT
This one is really open for interpretation but the way that I saw it was somebody blowing a kiss to somebody else. Naturally the flood character is very creepy, which can go one of two ways: 1) Sometimes outward appearance is not appealing at all, but those who have an “ugly” exterior can have the most beautiful personalities. 2) Or the opposite, which would be saying that you can look nice on the outside, but being true to one’s personality could reveal the nasty self that lies below.
Either way it sounds kind of cheesy but that’s just the vibe I got from it.

Here’s another shot like Radioactive or Afterglow where they seem to be bioluminescent, except this time it’s with a flood character. There’s no deeper meaning to this one which makes explaining it much easier. Haha.
What’s interesting to me is that somebody has tagged this shot, Radioactive, and Afterglow with “mod” even though no mods were used. I guess that’s kind of reassuring that people would think that I’d have to alter the game to get that effect.

Wish I was home, maybe another future project? East Coast US time zone, I am on sometimes at Noon.

I’ve been toying around with this effect before the FOTUS theme had arisen, and I just went ahead and used it with the helmet. Not my best, but I thought it was an interesting setup.

I gotta admit that the FX I used in Mysterious figure gave me a pretty bad headache.
A friend of mine volunteered to pose for me, so I took advantage of it. It’s not the coolest screenshot ever, but I really like the background. I don’t know…
As always, feel free to offer up some constructive criticism. I’d love to know in which ways you think I can improve.

Well stealth4ce, as the criticism is wanted, it shall be given honostly.
I like the look and feel of Shadelight but I feel the angle or pose could have been more appealing. Seeing some of your other shots, you could probably turn this into something amazing.
As for me, I didn’t have FOTUS so I had got a patient friend who had FOTUS to follow me for an hour and promised him that I’d put him gamertag in the descriptions. Everyone was happy in the end.
I’m really eager to see what other shots will be shown throughout the week. You people pretty much subliminally inspired me to get into this screenshot community anyway.

I took a series of shots, intended to be Spartan Linda 058 at her best with a sniper rifle. An Ode of sorts.
As some of you may know, the Mark V armor is pretty androgynous looking, so I had to be extra careful to capture whatever femininity I could.
