Vortex will yield those dark clouds, just in case you were wondering, throw on colorblind and or juicy or even together for those types of shots!

Also, this EVA shot you took looks really nice. I’ve seen that background style in a lot of cool screenshots and I’ve been trying to figure out how I can make a background like that one.

On the fotus blue, I was messing around with incineration shots and got that one: Some people are mad about it, lolz!
Here’s how.
Erosion - where you first spawn in the grifball court there are two small rooms/halls.
Pick either side though I think the one on the right side is naturally darker.
Turn on colorblind and a juicy overlay - in that order. (I may have had a next gen on at that time as well) I will check.
I used a three room building since the colors on that were dark as well, and plugged up the doorway, making the room very dark.
The left corner of the room is darkest.
The room was so dark actually, I could not see myself until I threw the sticky. I will return to that map again for sure.
The map also has some other really dark places, like down in the swamp.
To get that shot you have to use a shoulder mounted weapon, I have noticed that the hand movements differ according to which weapons you use.
for the EVA shot, that is actually very simple, its the map that makes the shot, I was looking at some of the heavy hitters screenshots and took me a month to figure where they were. VORTEX!
On the end of the map that is open and a little south of there you will find a natural land bridge, both areas will yield those dark clouds. I worked with Colorblind – Colorblind/Juicy
I look forward to seeing what you get out of it, post, when you take some I am interested to see what others came capture there. Plus, it makes them mad that I am telling everyone their secrets.

Awesome! Thanks for your help. I never could figure out what map had the background like your EVA shot had. For some reason I though it was Longbow. Vortex always looked like it was way too dark to manage such a nice background shot. I Guess those FX really can make a huge difference, depending on what map you’re on. Anyways, I’ll try to make some cool screenshots this weekend for next week’s bulletin.
