@Gothic Lucy: Superb forge art once again! As I mentioned to your yesterday, I really like the idea of using the Satellite Dishes as baubles on the tree behind her!
And as for my own Holiday themed Screenshot, I decided to go a little native with the name of it and chose:
- Nadolig Llawen [which is Merry Xmas in Welsh ;-)]
I went building on Forge Island to create the UNSC base with a Christmas tree full of prezzies beneath it! The prezzies are Extraction crates with Team Colours on them so they look all bright and colourful.
In other themes, Iāve also done some extra Race Screenshots on Longbow having some fun whilst leading a Race. Rally happy with these three most:
Drifting It - Taking the lead whilst drifting past the opposition. Really glad the dust trail picked up in this piece.
EVA Longbow II - My fave out of the 3, simply jumping past Alphs Base in Dominion and with the sunlight goign over the orbital launcher in the background. Made sure I got a bit of Mongosoe shaodw in too to show Iām airborne.
EVA Launch - Took this after winning the race and decided to take a little jump into the water at the end. Seems appropriate to have the EVA helmet on with the stars above

Well just used colourblind with the blue light ball and then used the right trigger to go really slow and that was it.

Sorry for my abcense yet again, the Holidays are keeping me on the move now, lol. Once one set of things gets resolved, another takes it place. Getting done a lot of last minute things for Christmas. My Halo 4 friend PrepaidMountain and I will be smoking some cheese as Christmas gifts this coming Saturday, hickory smoked muenster to be precise. Really good stuff and worth the effort with a non-electric smoker. Anywhom, before I wander off,

From what I understand, I donāt think there is going to be a Halo Bulletin the next two weeks due to Christmas and New Years. Speaking of Bulletins, I want to congratulate all whoās photo was featured in this weekās bulletin. It looks like several people who contribute to this thread has theirs posted.
Well done on your Forged Snowman being posted Gothic Lucy. It is a much better forge than you think. You really did a good job creating quite the unique snowman combined with Special FX for the win.
Nadolig Llawen! is an excellent photo Receptor17. This photo captures the colors and theme of Christmas completely, and in many ways I must say is a complete photo with almost all of the elements of Christmas present. Wonderful gifts for all the good Spartan IVs, and for one really Good Spartan II.
Poinsettia is a rather unique photo Z6NITRO . Very original concept, and I canāt even tell how you did this, so I am actually curious to hear about how you created this masterpiece if youāre willing to share.
I did create a photo for such the bulletin and it was featured much to my surprise:
I wanted to create a Christmas Tree much like other people did, however, I felt utilizing multiple colors wouldnāt be too original as many people were doing so, so I decided to try for a blue theme with my Holiday Christmas Tree and my Spartan. Longbow with the Juicy FX worked perfectly for this, as well as using the Rogue Visor with Blue colored armor. The Juicy FX really brought out the decor on the tree, giving the blue lights an bluish-ultraviolet feel, while the top light was white, to represent a star for the top of the tree. Now to see what else I missed since I last posted.
Z6NITRO, nice job on your NITROus Oxide photo. You managed to make the mongoose int he photo look supercharged with more parts as well, completed with what looks like a large blue flame. Well done and nice concept with that idea. Your photo āHappy Holidays from Requiemā is nice as well. Has a snowy feel from the FX. āThe Conductorā is also a nice photo, well done.
MrMartini85, I would say you have a knack for showing off Spartan Armor in your photos, because youāre doing an awesome job at it . Well Done, and āHow Shipmaster Lost His Mandibleā gave me a good laugh, kudos to you on that photo.
Riot Rojas, you always seem to come up with interesting ideas for your photos, and I like what I have seen yet again. Well done with your recent photos as well.
Receptor17, using those unique elements for such unique photos yet again . āShadow Commandoā, āEVA longbow IIā, and āEVA Launchā are all great examples of that. Keep up the awesome work with such use of such awesome elements.
Smileyken, what did you do to get that awesome effect in your photo ām102ā? I have never seen a visual glitch like that before, very odd and yet awesome. Kinda reminds me of this .
Gothic Lucy, well done on your third anime girl design in forge mode. I dunno how you figured out how to create such designs, but well done with it and your recent photos as well.

Poinsettia was created on Erosion/Ascend, FX - Color blind and Juicy - { Receptor17 
} - with the plants down on the shoreline opposite the Bridge.
I used a red light at the base of the plant, and for the red ābloomā above the leaf I used an incineration canon aimed at the ceiling.
The plants are hollow and a spartan will fit inside the stem.
After 30 minutes of jumping my Spartan up and down and trying to get everything to line upā¦ I added a platform for my Spartan to stand on.
It is not very elegant, but it worked for me.

Very glad that Nadolig Llawen got selected to be featured, despite itās brightness (that bothered me to no end when reviewing the Screenshotā¦) but Iām glad people liked it and my idea of using Extraction Crates for presents!

For the last couple of days, I decided to change tack and return to makming some Grifball Screenshots as itās the final month of o0beXās Grifball Screenshot monthly challenge so Iām pulling out all the stops this time!
I went with three locations for my newest pieces in my Recent Screenshots
Longbow brought me some cool effects, including using the 10 second soft kill zone warning to make some red themed pieces when the timer goes down to around 2 seconds (my friend and fellow midland Base member Silient Hit86 was the genius behind that one). I also discovered a cool āShadowzoneā effect when you place your ācameraā in the water and look up. Very eerie but cool!
I utilised Erosionās darkness in the shadows above the base as your Spartan sticks out super bright. I also had fun with the strange plant-life for some pieces (I wonder where I got THAT inspiration from Z6Nitroā¦ ;P) and I also used the 10 second soft kill zone warning again
Then with Impactās Screenshots, I wanted some good sci-fi/spacey pieces with the new Grif orange and taking screenshots with a window in the way so thereās some frosty and hexagonal extras to the pieces.
Naturally, Juicy and Colorblind were featured in both with a little extra Olde Timey too.

I really liked the rudolph one. EVA helmets have so much colour to them which is great but a downside at the same time.

My favorite from your recents was āTrue Colorsā. Great background and armor color choiceās. I think the EVA blue visor makes this screenshot stand out. I also really liked āSpacefield Grifā, āBenzene Grifā and āXenofloraā. Although i am probably a little partial to āXenofloraā
@Cerilium - Thank you! The EVA helmets seemed the appropriate choice for this screenshot, it was the 1st time I have used them.
@o0MasterChief1o - I liked āImpactā with the electic charge in the background. Neat effect on the blue armor. Your link went to your fileshare and I hope you donāt mind but I also liked the colorblind āHavenā and the closeup sniper color screenshot. I think your armor colors and the background color made a great screenshot.
