Ok, so here is a picture that explains it self, for all the RVB fans!
It’s been a long -Yoink- while, but the serials are back. They’ve piled up over this year, so now I’ll throw the whole collection out to the art sharks.
This, along with the other two I dropped earlier this year, is the beginning of my first collection, entitled WHITEOUT. The base map, snowed map, and the night time map used for lost cats are all on my Reach file share. The effect used has become my standard since discovering it, so don’t think I’ll ever be done with Halioph’s icy winds. I know the shots are just singles and cheap close ups, I’m working with one controller over here. Eventually I’ll put up my character shots and maybe I’ll shoot a coherent story, if I could write one/find a group to help. BUT ENOUGH TALK! HAVE AT ME!

@ The Overgamer - I LOVE the “Chilled roads and icy graves” Screenshot! Defeinitely my favourite out of the WHITEOUT set thus far! Can’t wait to see more!
I’ve had a pretty busty week in terms of Screenshot taking, messing mostly aorund on Perdition with the juicy and Colorblind FX on, but also some using Next Gen too:
- Vintage Bug n 17 - I think we were using the Next Gen and Colorblind FX with this and some other Screenshots below. This one’s taken just as Battlebug85 fire her Rocket Launcher, bringing up the bright glow of me and her on the Mongoose.
- Meltdown Grif - Taken with the Smashing Punkins Gametype and with Juicy and Colorblind on. I just had my Spartan run beneath the exposed Reactor Core so the bright fire matched with the armour.
- Binary Scout - Taken with Next Gen + Juicy, just a simple shot of me switching to my Binary Rifle. I always find it funny how HUGE the binary Rifle is compared to a Spartan…
- Old Sparkles - Taken as my friend and I ride through a resulting Incineration explosion, I managed to get the “sparkles” from the explosion to feature in the foreground as we zoom past.
With it being Halo 4’s 1st Birthday today and with the release of the Birthday Fiesta Gametype, I decided to bring my “Screenshot Camera” along to a handful of my games to grab some snaps whilst it was in the MM hopper. I tagged them all with “Birthday Fiesta”, so they can all be found here.
But here’s a handful of my personal favourites:
- Fiesta Rocket - A simple half Spartan, half Scenery shot involving the “closed ramp” of Haven whilst I’d just switched to my Rocket Launcher, hence why it’s pointed down.
- Flying Fiesta - Bit of a funny one taken just after I’d been hit by something highly explosive. Was a nightmare trying to get the angle right for this piece!
- Fiesta Sticky Det - Another simple looking up shot whilst I’m sprinting and holding a Sticky Det. I love how the shadow plays across the Warmaster visor.
- Fiesta Flare II - Taken as someone tried to hit me with a Concussion Rifle. The Covvie weapon really works well in providing purpley-red lighting if you ever need that kind of lighting for a piece.
- Laser Charge II - Charging up the Laser whilst crouched on Adrift. The Defender helmet rarely gets much love, so I thought I’d give it some Screen-time today.
- IC Reload - Very happy indeed with the Incineration Cannon’s reload colours when paired with the Defender helmet and armour colours! This was taken in one of the open corners on Adrift, so there wasn’t much noise behind the focus on the Screenie.

@Receptor 17 “IC Reload” was my favorite. The colors worked worked well together, even if they were not Brown 
I played and saved 3 games (adrift, abandon, haven) before I had to leave this AM,
B-Day Fiesta was fun, although my K/D took a beating

Gravity Hammers. Not my favorite weapon to use, but I suppose I can drag it out for the commendation and maybe get some shots with the thing for next week.

As someone who has taken a hundred or so Grifball Themed Screenshots, I am looking forwards to this challenge. I’ll post up some tips and tricks I’ve learnt over my time taking Gravity Hammer Screenies in the near future!
Also, a big congrats to everyone who got their ODST Screenshots featured yesterday! I’m especially proud my “mischievous twin”, Poetepoet got one of his first Screenshots featured!

RECEPTOR 17, you’re my new favorite person. You must star with me. ROADS AND GRAVES is definitely the cleanest shot I have, but it’ll be hard to top ICY GIANTS’ description/character positioning. Lucky vignette seven will incontestably be my best work. As far as more shots go, I think I’ll start doing more nighttime/Halo 4.

No offence but if that’s the specific Modded Game Type, disapproval from me.
Folks using Modded stuff puts those who keep to Xbox and 343’s ToU at a severe disadvantage when it comes to the chance of getting featured etc. Also using the Modded stuff is against Xbox’s ToU and puts you at a risk of being Xbox Banned so an absolutely no-no to me.

Good evening everybody. I see people are contributing more awesome and also some funny pictures as well. DHG Siul S249, I like your photo called ‘Not My Fault…’ as it is funny to start, and gave me a couple of chuclkes. The photo is also nice as you created a scene setup and you managed to capture the background rather well. I also liked what you managed to pull off with ‘Golden Star’, as you have some different style lighting going on there and it does in it’s own way remind me of Super Mario Bros. Well Done on your photos.
The Overgamer, I must say you know how to use the colorblind FX rather well. I haven’t had much luck with it, but I can tell base dupon your photos you know how to use it well, a tip of the hat to you for your capabilities of creating nice classic looking photos with it. ‘Lost cats’ is also a nice photo. I am curious how you pulled the unique feel to it off.
Receptor17, once again, you managed to use your knowledge of many different elements to create awesome dynamic photos. ‘Vintage Bug n 17’ actually has the feel of the two spartans, yours and the friend you had along with you as if they were leaving a parking garage, ready to go into a tense situation. meltdown Grif is also nice with the intense coloration of warm colors. How did you save the Smashing Punkins Game Type? Binary Scout has a Halloween feel to it as it looks like blood splattered on the wall. Well done with your photos once again. I also see that you partied rather well on the sixth of November. Very nice .
Smileyken, I also like what I see in your file share, as you know how to use angles while taking photos rather well, which give them a bit more of a dynamic feel. You also seem to know how to show off FOTUS armor pretty well compared to other photos I have seen with people wearing it.
I’m happy to see more awesome photos taken by creative people. Please keep them coming. I do happen to have a couple of new ones to share with everybody.
Three of the photos was from when I played the ‘Birthday Fiesta’ playlist and were what I found while taking a look through the footage. For the ‘This is a New Assassin Weapon’ photo, I dunno what happened to cause that effect, but it is really nice. As for the ‘New Overcharged Hammer’, that photo took about three hours to get right, as the theater played back the electricity effect differently everytime. I hope everybody enjoy sand have a great night now.

The thing you should know about my screenshots is that they include, but are not limited to Forge FX and lighting. But make no mistake they are all my own screenshots and work.
