Today we will be talking about using soft kill boundaries with FX in Forge to capture screenshots.
So, set up a Forge, this method can only be done in forge, otherwise the thing will kill you!
Pick your map. I prefer to use a dark one, but it really comes down to personal preference.
Choose an area that is to your liking, I will post examples from Daybreak.
Pull up spawning>Soft Kill>set to Box.
You want to set width to about 3.5 to 4.0.
Turn on a juicy FX, this will get the SKB to really glow bright white.
(can overlay a nova and a colorblind as well)
And here’s what you get.
Taken from the outside of the SKB.

Wow that’s pretty interesting. I will definitely try using that technique with the kill boundaries. Your Locus SKB screenshot looks pretty cool.
BTW, have you checked out Reclaimed Halo? His screenshots are amazing I don’t know how he does it.

I watch all those guys fileshares, he uses colorblind alot. To me black and white, just as in real photography is an easy medium to use. That doesnt take away from the awesome of the shots, and we will get to that topic a little bit down the road. He’s a pro without a doubt, as with most pro’s who know they are good, wont speak to the commoners.
I am in communication with a fantastic screenshot artist by the name of Legy Eclipse. He will join us later on down the road.
Really, it comes down to location and backdrop. There are several things to take into consideration and that too, will be tackled as well.

As I said nothing special and it looks OK if you ask me.

DoMi7Vo, this is a great shot! Perfect capture of silhouette.

Really? I thought it was a poor shot because you couldn’t see my Spartans color/detail so I just disregarded it even though it was an interesting screenshot of a silhouette. Thanks anyways though.
Surfing Pikachu skull?
If you want blood to show up in your shot without dying,
spawn a kill ball
spawn a player trait zone & make health invulnerable.
walk in the kill ball, it treats you as if you were supposed to die but can’t, so you have the blood death effect popping out of your head, enjoy…

Firstly, congrats!
When it comes to white background either all the spartan needs to be out in front or hidden. For being hidden the shot really grabs the eye. Its a good shot.
