To recreate that cover photo, you have a lot of complex scenic forging to do. Might I suggest Forge Island, paired with special effects (say, Next Gen, Colorblind, and Juicy), or try forging a forest underwater or inside the islands for a foggy effect over the landscape. You will need 3 people, obviously. For the Mark V, just use full Mark V armor. For the Mark VI, use full Mark VI armor, except for the chest. It looks more like Mark V in the cover of Ghosts of Onyx. And for the third person I’d suggest the EVA helmet, Soldier chest, ODST/Mark V shoulders, and Outer-Plated forearms and legs. Of course, use the Forest-Green color for both primary and secondary, and the Legendary visor, to fully capture the look.
I hope this helps, and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

I went on Pitfall again and got a couple cool screenshots of my ODST armor, and somehow accidently got the Battle Rifle BLAST skin, so I figured I’d make use of it while I have it.
> The EVA helmet is the closest look to the SPI armour from what we have to play with in Halo 4’s Armoury, in terms of shoulder pads though, Ranger might be an option, or one of the tiny ones, like Enforcer.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll have to try out the SPI combos next chance I get. Last time I played with it, I ended up using the EVA helmet, Stalker chest, Warmaster shoulders, Inner-plated arms and Recruit legs. Looked semi-decent ha ha.
I think the Mark VI will be a little tricky though. I’m not wild on using the Mark V chest for it and ever since the Mark V came out, I’ve been torn between the shoulders ha ha. I’ll just play around with the combos and see what works.
Score Burst and Vagabond are pretty neat. Like the look to the latter one.
Oh my, why haven’t I seen this thread earlier? A lot of these screenshots posted here are amazing! I’ll definitely be posting some screenshots that I make whenever I make them. I’m always looking for criticism.
PS. favorited.
PPS. You should definitely take some of the effects that are being thrown around in the thread and edit them into the OP. Giving credit, of course. It’d make it a lot easier to locate effects. Just a friendly suggestion.
Hi all. I’ve taken a few screenshots in Reach, and I want to take a few in Halo 4. I mostly want to make dark and gloomy ones (sort of like the Breakpoint/PP style ones from Reach) but I’m having a hard time replicating that effect in 4. Could someone give me some pointers?

Colorblind and Juicy usually can do that. However, on some maps I recommend a Next Gen effect as well, which will darken everything. The only issue with Next Gen is the shadowing, so I suggest avoiding shadow shots if using Next Gen.

All the FX and there uses have been documented in the first 6 pages. More tutorials to come.
Agree I really like the outcast one, the framing and the pose look excellent with the background! wish it were a bit darker with an effect but otherwise looks great, keep it up

Not bad at all. I liked the first pic best of the 3. I would have had the MK VI positioned back a bit farther, but all in all nice job

Meteor is a great shot. The armor is shining!
Update:
I also posted a thread in Support. I am leaving for about two weeks, so any problems or bugs, or hate tagging, shoot me a PM and I will send them off to Admin when I am in wifi service.
