Thank you and yes I agree Reach was great for screenshots. I sometimes spent hours on it just to get the right shot

Somewhat, but I want me in mid melee, and it has to catch some form of light.
First off, congrats to those lucky few who got selected with their Monitor Screenies!
@ Deluca34: Nice Reach Screenies! Never did anything properly back then myself, bar some funnies, so it’s great to see some awesome shots from back then from everyone else! Also, Hammer Orbs…my inner Grifballer grins with glee!

There’s a number of ways you can achieve that catch of light, some don’t need any forge FX at all as the Map’s lighting does it for you, the light spilling into the lower corridors of Haven are a good example.
You can also use Forge Lights that you can find in the “Gadgets” section when using the Forge. The light tends to spread out over a wide radius though and doesn’t help with glare much.
In terms of Forge FX, you could try using the ever favourite Juicy FX, combined with Next Gen for some accented shadows. (if you’re going to do this, don’t make it happen in a dark area otherwise you won’t be able to see the action in theater for your Screenie)
In terms of posing, certain weapons help melees look better as oyu can see the Spartan more, instead of the weapon itself taking up the Screenshot (Fuel Rod Guns + Rocket Launchers I’m looking at you…). Using a sidearm/oddball allows you to make a punch melee animation, whilst naturally, the sword provides a distinctive lunge look.

And now onto this week’s theme for the Bulletin, which is all about the Eco-friendly colour of Green! For mine I set my heart on using Green Lighting on the Solace Map and I put on my EOD Armour initially, before I then put of Deluca34’s kindly donated HAZOP Forest armour to make the latter few. I thought I’d stick mostly with Green firing projectiles too to help add to the colour.

I wonder if going to melee someone and double tapping the switch weapon button will have any affect?

Thanks! Yep it’s the FRG firing and also a hidden Green Light orb hidden inside the crates. To get the perfect timing for the FRG shot, I pause the video and then I just gently hold down the trigger so I move in teensy tiny increments of time to get the moment caught just right.
Hmm, that’s worth experimenting, let us know what the results were!

Very nice work for a first timer! I especially like Believer (I’m a sucker for Scout armour…) You framed the Spartan fantastically against the background so well done! The only thing I think that could have made it any better owuld have been if the Spartan had the red visor on (Solar or Blindside). Did you use the Nova Forge FX tool?
Pilgrim is another well framed Screenie, but I think the pale background kinda takes something away from it.
Colored is pretty nicely done, I like the spectrum of colours in the background, although it seems the Spartan’s vibrant green armour’s got a bit desaturated. It does contrast well with the multitude of colours in the background though.
For a first timer those are some very decent Screenies PvL Static! A lot better than my first creations! Keep it up and looking forwards to seeing more of what oyu make in the future!
