Glad to see I’m not the only one who uses that gametype haha :stuck_out_tongue:

Decided to go on a Forge Photoshoot on Landfall. Absolutely great scenery. I decided for the Black and White feel this time around, with assorted weapons and angles.

Knockout

The lighting effects are really excellent, but a little out of my league. I am working on more “traditional” shots with scenery background’s. Let me know what you think. Be gentle, please.

Not too shabby. Might I suggest for simple effects using Colorblind and Juicy effects, for a dark environment with enhanced coloring.

Thank you PerceusSOZ for the feed back.
It will be beneficial for me to begin trying to understand and use some of the lighting effects.
Thanks again!

Not a problem. We’re here to show off and give tips. Nothing more, nothing less. Glad to be of services

Absolutely this.

The intended purpose of this thread is to help others. Post shots. Have a good time doing so.

You can go back and see where I give a quick tutorial on lighting and FX.

More in depth tutorials will be rolling out in the fall.

I gotta look into that.

I am looking for skilled Halo Photographers: Check out this thread:

It’s about time I posted here, as I’m a nutjob for taking and looking at people’s Screenshots.

I’ve mostly been doing Grifball based ones in the past couple of weeks, alongside the theme for the Weekly Bulletins.

Since this is my first post here, so I thought I’d link up some of my personal favourites from my creations with a bit of extra info on how I did them:

Oscar Mike (Taken on Monolith on one of the side runs. Great place to have a background that doesn’t stick out too much and distract you from the Spartan)

Access Denied (The orange/red glow comes from the Sentry Turret I’m deploying.)

Skyfire Taken up on one of the pillars on the open side of Haven. The Jump Pack gets you up there and it’s the perfect spot for making a screenie focusing on your Spartan)

Controlled Burst (Again this one was taken on the pillars on the open side of Haven.)

Evading (If you use the aforementioned pillars and jump off with the Jump Pack, you can get some very nice Screenshots with the Forerunner tower in the background. The right armour colour is key too, too dark and you’ll miss details, too bright and it clashes and looks out of place)

Void Stride (Combining the Olde Time and Colorblind Forge FX tools was the key to making this look like it’s black and white, but with a tiny element of colour.)

Magnetic Blue (This was taken in the trench/valley on the Impact asteroid with the base, it’s a superb place for making a plain black background. No FX were needed to bring out the colour as the Railgun did the job for me.)

Shockwave Orb (Timing was key for this one, so I could get the full glow and shape of the shockwave orb you get when a Gravity Hammer’s swung. I also used the Oceanic helmet as it reflects the light fantastically to add to the Screenie further in a subtle way.)

And that’s that from me for now! I gotta say, there are some fantastic Screenshot artists in this thread that put so much of my work to shame! Be proud of your works my fellow photographers!

@ PerceusSOZ: Fantastidc B+W Landfall Screenies! I’ve tagged up two of them with Landfall and Halo Waypoint so BS Angel can spot them on Wednesday as they deserve a spot in the Weekly Bulletin!

17 out.

Very nice shots! Magnetic Blue is an awesome capture.

Awwww the timing. So many hours trying to move the frame just right to get the perfect light, fx, explosions only to bump it too fast. Then rewind then bump then rewind, haha.

Good stuff.

Me thinking the same.
