As for your quote, I can’t really show you other things for the chief. I am more like a ‘noob’ photographer. On my photo, I just used A. some effects (I think it was Juicy and Next Gen), B I killed a guest with an oddball assassination and threw the oddball away fast, C. crouched, shot a Rocket Launcher and D. photographed all this from the right angle.

The right angle and the background can do a lot on pictures. As for special tips for the Chief…

I would say, try to find better shoulders, because the Mark VI you get are not the one’s that the Master Chief is wearing in the campaign.
And a secret, I did use the primary color Steel, not Sage.
For some reason this color looks way more like the Chief when you use effects ike next gen.

I know your trying to help me, i want my spartan to be who he is, not where all the same stuff as chief but rather have the chief’s spotlight is what I’m trying to make it feel like, which if you look in my file share, thanks to lizking, I pulled that off real well…

For example, cut your spartan out & put mine in it, done. That is in essence what I’m doing.

Sorry, out hiking all weekend.

Lizking thanks for the help with the tips! Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Cosmic, very nice shots! Coming along nicely.
War never ends. That one is right on, the details in the capture are awesome. You can feel your patience in the pic.

I will put a screenshot map where there is a dark room. Details will follow.

Keep them shots coming!

This is my one for cones.
Disregard authority!

Was quite annoying to do as I had to move the cones into a believable position as they don’t actually get knocked over by the 'hog.

That angle was quite a fiddle, I definitely think it turned out rather well though.

Thank you, If i’m right, that was also an illusion trick set-up by the underwater map I had due to the glitch where you can go underwater, believe it or not, I was actually looking up but in such an angle i took that pic It looked like I was looking at me at normal. I love illusions, I just can’t make map illusions… Yep. War never ends used an camera angle for an illusion. That wall is actually the floor.

That is Awesome, I hope this makes it in, I would have never thought of that. That is why I’m not doing the cone thing, if i do, It might be when I think of something for it.

Very nice Sean!

I have a question. How do you remove the shield discharge effect? When you die your shields give off a bright yellow shell. I’ve tried disabling shield but when you die the still appear.

Also here is a link to my fileshare
Halo 4
Halo Reach
Please take a look at my Halo Reach Screen shots I think they are quite good.

Hey, here are all of mine to date: I think I’ve got some pretty darn epic shots here! All of the assassinations are from one round of Slayer Pro, and there’s a few others from one other round. The one with the Spartan in the air is a sniper face-off, which I eventually won. The other is my doing an across-the-river-no-scope-showstopper to save my teammate on team snipers! Lemme know what you think!

Anyway, here’s the link!

Not to bad. I like the 5sassin3 Reminds me of a screen shot I took.

@harzilla
I am not sure you can disable shields in that manner. But there is a split second after the shields pop that your armor goes normal right before you fall. I will work with it to test that theory.

I would suggest moving the camera in a little tighter. That really captures the feeling.

There are three points in close up shots:
Close whole body, capturing from head to toe. With detail still sharp.

Close waist up, these will show very sharp detail. Good for showing off weapon and assassinations.

Helmet close up, extreme detail. These are the toughest, mostly because their is such a tight focus on the subject.

Utilize the zoom feature on the cam to achieve these points.

Here are some ways you can get some nice backdrops for shots:

In forge find a real dark area. I would suggest the the small halls on either side of the grifball court on erosion.

I have a pre-made map I will upload to my file share.

Soft kill boundary, change the dimensions to “box” adjust width and length to be long and wide enough to have a spartan fit inside. Turn juicy fx to give the kill boundary a bright white glow.

Using colorblind and next gen will also make for some interesting color changes for the boundary. Overlay other fx for even crazier effects.

Shields, they have two sides, one red, one blue. In a dark area they show color really well. So if you turn them they will give off the red or blue. Put them flush against a wall.

Throw on effects for some dramatic results.

Kill balls, you can place these wherever and get some good backdrops. Just be sure to “lock” the ball to really get the full color without the green tint from forge highlights.
You can sink them half way to get a nice half moon effect.

Lights, these can really bring mood to the shot by themselves or in combination with other lights. Look up on Google on how to blend color palettes for effect. Personally, I use them by sink them into the floor, walls, just so the the light us given off without seeing the light ball.

Finally, throw on a kill boundary, juicy fx, sink a kill ball at the border, put on a few lights, a couple shields, have a warthog exploding, and viola! Crazy shots!

Ok, thanks everybody! However, I do prefer just taking screenshots or clips from recently played games… I just like it that way, and don’t have the patience to do otherwise. But Y’all have some awesome shots! Thanks everybody!

That’s cool, in game shots are the most difficult to capture. Its the purest form of photography. So, when you get a great in game shot, its an accomplishment.

Took me a couple of goes to get it.

Looks pretty cool but would’ve been nice if this was in a custom game where you could have done some editing to it.

I’d say maybe you could try doing this again in a custom game on a custom map because I think it would look pretty neat with some effects.

Hi cerilium.i did some custom games some time ago so I mite try and find it and have another go.i like your flood picture.

Cerilium DAT flood is good!

I like the explosion and the detail on the spartan is awesome.

Nice shots!

@smiley
Coming along nicely, I would suggest zooming in and then moving the can back so you really capture the detail.

Keep working with it, good shot!
