I have every intention of updating this thread frequently, it is still a work in progress.

Do you have a map or gametype you have made, but need to test it out to make sure it plays right? Maybe you found an awesome map that you think everyone should have. I’m going to post a few templates you can use to submit a map, or review a currently submitted one! Keep in mind, I’m not saying everyone has to post their maps in here. I’m just giving everyone an opportunity to have their maps tested and criticized by other community members.

To submit a map for testing:

Name of the map:
Compatible gametypes:
Number of players supported:
Important Notes:
Screenshots (at least 2):
Link to download:

To review a map you’ve tested:

Name of the map:
Gametypes you have played on it:
Weapon placement:
Spawn placement:
Aesthetics:
Is the map breakable:
Was anything under/overpowered for any one team:
When you give feedback on someones map, please use explanations of why you dislike something, and how they can improve it. Posts saying “The weapons aren’t balanced.” Are completely unnecessary and useless.

To submit a recommended map:

Name of map:
CREDIT TO THE CREATOR:
Compatible gametypes:
Number of players supported:
Important Notes:
Screenshots (at least 2):
Link to download:
Why you think everyone should download this map:
Please, if you use this thread, either use the templates or be very neat and informative with your submission. Feel free to add me on XBL, Wrayze Hell, if you need any help, or want to test maps/forge with me!

If enough people like the idea, we can set up a weekly time to come together online and play the submitted maps as a community. As always, be respectful and have fun!

Wrayze Hell’s Recommended Maps

Community Approved:
(work in progress)

Remakes:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=49975558
In this thread, you will find a comprehensive list of maps that were left for dust in the old Halo games. If you had a favorite map, you will most likely find it here considering that over 90% of all maps were re-made by the community. There are multiple choices for a lot of them, so find one that fits the feel you love!
Coagulation: (Halo 2’s Blood Gulch)
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-competitive-maps/120819-coagulation.html
Personally, this is one of my favorite remakes. Lots of attention to detail and feels pretty close to the real thing when you’re playing with the classic slayer variant.

Sierra 117: (Multiplayer Version)
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-competitive-maps/119771-halo-3-sierra-117-a.html
Sometimes you’re running through campaign and think, “Hey, this would be a great multiplayer map!”, and some people take it upon themselves to make that a reality.

Cargo Port: (Another campaign location!)
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-competitive-maps/120093-cargo-port.html
There was a LOT of work put into this map, and I can say with confidence that it is one of the funnest maps I have played on. Give it a try, and play all the gametypes you can! Each one brings a new unique experience.

de Aztec: (Counter-Strike Remake)
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-competitive-maps/117242-de_aztec.html
Who’s to say you’re favorite map had to be a Halo original? I’ve played some great maps and wished I could enjoy them on a different game on many occasions. Maybe some need to be tweaked a bit to fit a games play style or limits, but I’m sure you’ll find your way around!

ForgeHub Featured:
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/featured-maps/
This link will take you to some of the best community maps you will find anywhere.

Genome
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/featured-maps/113635-genome.html
Is competitive play your forte? Check out on of the funnest maps I’ve played MLG on. If you want a more casual version, check out the separate download link at the bottom, labeled as “Genetic”.

Poseidon’s Lair
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/featured-maps/113110-poseidons-lair.html
Test your brain in the home of the God of the Sea. This puzzle will have you guessing your way through more than 20 puzzles. Don’t stress though, a checkpoint system will make sure you don’t pull your hair out!

Attainment
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/featured-maps/117301-attainment.html
A great slayer map. In my opinion, this map is a shining example of what a truly great symmetrical map should be.

Mini-Games:
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-mini-game-maps/
Maybe you don’t want to play any specific gametype. All you want to do is link up with some friends and pass the time with some laughs. Mini-games are a great way to enjoy a different side of Halo.

Double Ranbow All the Way…
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-mini-game-maps/112660-double-rainbow-all-way.html
Almost every custom lobby I’ve been in the past few weeks, this map/game surfaces. What’s more fun then flying down a hallway at breakneck speeds while everything seems to explode around you? Check it out, it’s really a lot of fun!

In Your Base, Stealin’ Your Flags
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-mini-game-maps/116962-stealin-your-flags.html
A different take on CTF. Goose across the map to a flag dispenser. Goose back to the checkpoint to score a flag. Rinse and repeat, sounds easy right? Of course I forgot to mention the shower of rocket-hog fire constantly raining down from the heavens…

Don’t EMP Me, Bro
http://www.forgehub.com/forum/reach-mini-game-maps/119787-dont-emp-me-bro.html
It’s like rocket race, except you don’t explode into the distance as often… A nice new take on the gametype. I hope to see more maps made for this!

This thread is a continued work in progress. If the community shows enough interest, I will change the maps listed on a frequent basis. Please submit any maps you make, enjoy, or ideas for maps.

A fantastic initiative! Keep up the good work! If I wasn’t such a horrible forger, I would’ve submitted some myself!

I got big plans for this thread coming up. I’m going to be adding all kinds of maps to the reserved post. Remakes, Forge-hub featured maps, and ones the community requests.

Is this an official Waypoint idea? because if not. I think a much better way to see all the creations is to just pop by a site like xforgery/forgehub/halotracks.

I have around 30,000 downloads of my 12 maps (youtube.com/spencermx) and I love forging. It would be neat to see Waypoint show off a lot of the best that the forging community has to offer. It is truly the thing that sets Halo apart from other games.

This isn’t meant to draw people away from forging communities, rather than to keep some home-made content within our own community and link people to other great sources of content.

When I’ve finished my map, I’ll be sure to post it here. Great idea and setup, Wrayze Hell!

I have one suggestion, which as its obvious, I imagine you may have thought of it already. But perhaps when we have some “recommended maps” you could add them to either your first or second post.

Name: Cliffside Fortress
Game: Halo Reach
Gametypes: Most of them
Players: up to the maximum. (I think thats 16)
Important Notes: This map used to have 43 downloads but I took it down to fixe a sword glitch (it was set to “fixed”). I put it back up, so don’t be discouraged because it has 0 downloads. I won’t be updateing this map so don’t bother giving advice

Hope you like! Its a HUGE map!

Yea I got all that already in the works. I’m going to be putting up a BUNCH of maps to the second post real soon. Remakes and originals.

Name of the map: 00ShayD v3.5

Seeing as how the insert image thing didn’t work, here’s a link to the folder with the images I tried uploading.

…I don’t know how to make click-able links. sorry for that.

I made this map a while ago, but I dont have enough people to show it off and spread it around.

Im hoping that I have some unique concepts for it…

Its called “Room Over Water” but I feel as if its a terrible title…

It can play Team slayer, FFA, Multi Team, Big team, (and hopefully the king of the hill works…).

It can support a full 16 people if that many people were to play.

Nothing important to really note, but the bottom layer is hopefully a fun twist if you go down the fancy way.

Name of the map: Drachalla
Compatible gametypes: Slayer
Number of players supported: 8
Important Notes: It’s a map that look almost BTB…but it is small enough to play 4vs4 like Tempest and possibly Rumble Pit and Multi Team…
Screenshot: I will insert them soon

Come April… and I will have a map, which I hope, will blow your mind. xD

I’ll come back to this thread April!

Name of the map: Closure

Compatible gametypes: Team DeathMatch, DeathMatch, eventually CTF and KOTH

Number of players supported: 2-12

Important Notes: Symetrical map. Shotgun on the bottom floor in the middle, sword on the top floor in the middle, the middle floor is made up of 4 shield doors facing up so you can jump through it and you can also drop down the direct middle. Kind of looks like “#”

Screenshots:
The main floor where mostly everything goes down. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v335/vkris2002/?action=view&current=Closure1Middlefloor.jpg
The bottom floor where the shotgun is, and the exits of two one-way teleporters.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v335/vkris2002/?action=view&current=Closure2BottomFloor.jpg
The top floor, basically sees everything, and is where the sword is.

Hi. Is there a way to save maps i’ve created so other online players cannot change or delete them? I worked for 2 hours on an awesome (i thought) creation and some jerk deleted most of it! Bummer! Please advise. Thanks for any help you can offer.
