Share your aim settings

Okay, so, aiming is what it is, while we wait for a response, let’s try to help each other with sharing our settings if we find them, good.

Mine:

Look Acceleration: 1
Sensitivity Horizontal: 1.5
Sensitivity Vertical: 6.5

I put vertical way above horizontal because I felt like Horizontal was way faster than vertical. In that range I put I got the feeling they were somewhat equal.

Deadzones:
Center: 2 (this is dependant on your own controller though)
Max: 0 (this is how close to the edge you need to push the stick to get max input, high values means you get max input with smaller tilts.)
Axial: 3

sens vert 8

deadzones
center 2
max 15
axial 1

No amount of settings tinkering can fix the feel of the aim though. Also, I don’t think 343 is going to comment or fix this. They haven’t done so for the mouse input in MCC and they haven’t responded to similar complaints during the test flights.

Look accelaration 1
sens hor 3.5
sens vert 3.5

I didn’t touch dead zones.
I’m wondering, does a higher look accel. help you guys aiming or not?

I thought I had a better feeling with lower acceleration.

Not fix, but make it more tolerable at least.

Look acceleration was probably messing up my aim the most I felt so I’ve got it on 1 like you have, I have 3.5 sens just like you and I feel that although it’s slow it’s really stable so my aim isn’t all over the place.

For deadzones I’ve got a little tip for you, each deadzone section has 3 options, “center, max and axial” the max option I found it helped to put it up to 15, this basically means that your sticks have to move more to the side before they go full speed, this can also keep your aim smooth in gunfights. The center and axial options you can leave if you want but lowering them can make your sticks a bit more responsive, if you wanna stay safe then you could always just drop them all down slightly for a bit more responsiveness.

Matter of personal preference. With look accel all the way up the aim speed is consistent from when you start moving the stick all the way until full tilt. Some people like that, others don’t. I prefer it because of the consistency.

Actually, I found it to be the other way around, like the description of it says:

"Set how far the look thumbstick is from the edge before the maximum input registers.

Lower value increases the variance in the acceleration curve. Higher value reduces slow turn"
