So I have loads memories from the old Halo games - some moments, some individual matches which I remember so well despite it being years ago. I’m sure you guys do to, so lets share them!
So my most notable memory was in Halo 3 Team slayer when I was trying to get my 50 (I was probably about 15). I teamed up with two welsh guys called CursedSuperior and Blaydedeckspert (Bladed Expert, 2nd account), and another guy, I think he was dutch, called Joman.
We played a fair few games together at around the level 45-48 bracket, and there was one which we won 50-4…it was insane. It was on standoff, we controlled the warthogs and laser and just totally trapped them. I ran in the base at one point and got an overkill exterm…I still have the bungie page of that game Favorited on my old computer!
This isn’t a memory from multiplayer.
But in the Halo 3 campaign, when you get transported to the Ark and look up in the sky to see the Milky Way galaxy insanely far away… for me that really gave a sense of the epic scale of the game
Most of my memories stem from “pwning a noob” in H3. I can’t recall the name of the map. I’m sure it’ll hit me when I don’t care to know what it is. The one with the big wheel in the middle. Remember the start points? On top of the stair case in the middle, right? All I remember is within seconds of starting I conducted a hail mary toss of a grenade landing it right on that platform with everyone and starting the game with an Overkill. Couldn’t have been more perfect. Aside from that I’d have to find the old clips/pics (do they still exist somewhere?) that I saved and look them over. I was always saving something that I thought was epic. At one point I even took one of those pics and submitted it to some cell phone case company (Skinit I think) and had them print it on a custom case for me.
i use to do hardcore super bounces back in the day, I even joined a clan dedicated to bouncing and making montages called Bounce FX
Ijust remember spending So many hours trying to invent crazy bounces, or do the pizza cutter bounce or Xbuilding bounce, etc
they Did post the montages on youtube somewhere but i have never been able to find them

And yeah, if the clips and stuff were on your file share there’s good chance you can still find them on the Bungie website, as I say I have a link to that game in the OP and you can still look at all the old bungie stuff
The best old school memories for me had to be the time I did all my vidmaster challenges and the many times I helped others getting their ones… Ah god its all a blur but damn I remember when I finally unlocked that recon armour…
The other times were when I was grinding Lone Wolves to get that final Halo 3 achievement… Still remember that day like it was yesterday… Snowbound king of the hill…
Grabbed the laser from the base near the cave to the right with the coin easter egg, the hill popped up near that base, I charged it up shot a dude in it and without noticing killed an invisible guy right behind him…
Once those laser kill medals and the double kill medal popped up I froze for a second… Then the Two-for-one achievement popped up and I just threw my controller and went idle for the rest of the match celebrating.
Most hardest and best achievement I’m proud of unlocking… Best 5G achievement ever!
My friends and I used to all go to one house after friday night football in highschool. We would all bring our xbox and Halo 2 and play cutom games all night. One of my favorites was battlesquare. Swords and shotguns only on lockout, no radar. We would usually have a full lobby so needless to say chaos was a good word to describe it. Good times.
My 16th Birthday party was a massive LAN party. My parents just bought a new house less than two miles from the house we were living in. They allowed me to host a huge Halo 2 LAN party in the new house before moving in. So I invited everyone I knew who had an Xbox and told em to grab their TV, Xbox, Halo CE and/or Halo 2 and come over. It was an amazing all night LAN party with more pizza and Mt. Dew than I’ve ever seen in my life. It was amazing
I remember when in halo 3, we had to find certain in the ship. My twin and I spent like a couple hours to pass the mission… On hardcore. Well we were like 11 at the time but we passed it lol
Me & my step-brother playing Halo 3 back in 2008 playing 1v1 splitscreen having the most epic sniping match on Narrows…and loss by a few kills due to being too arrogant & cocky <_<
This is a campaign memory I shared this in a similar thread a while back. When I first played Halo CE, I was still a little kid, and when I say little I mean LITTLE, like 5-6 years old. Cause I was still a toddler, the Hunters always scared me, and because I didn’t know the pistol could one-shot them, I always paused the game and then asked my dad to kill them whenever I saw them. Kinda embarrassing, really, but a memory I’m fond of.
