Shaking HUD

I’ve just noticed in all the gameplay we saw from E3 like the Campaign Demo or all those Multiplayer matches the MLG dudes did, whenever the player sprints, takes fall damage, jumps, takes heavy damage, and shoots a heavy gun (Rocket Launcher, etc.), the HUD always shakes.

I don’t like this at all, all my information (ammo, shields, points, motion sensor, etc.) will be shaking all over the screen. I will get distracted.

Am I wrong?

EDIT: Don’t get me wrong! I’m not complaining about it, there’s nothing I’m gonna achieve from that except from being stupid. I’m just pointing it out and giving my honest opinion on it.

Do I need glasses?

I can’t see the screen shaking. :S

Unless you focus on the elements of the HUD, your eyes should just look right past it. If you were to be playing, you would not even notice.

You’ll live.

The outline of the Spartan’s visor. I see that it shakes. Look near the edges of the screen or look at his ammo.

Dude, it’s not like they’re all jumbled all over the place and suddenly your shield is now down where the radar is and your radar has replaced your reticule.

You know what’s really distracting? The outdated shield HUD. It really should be designed after Reach.

How the hell is the Shield Bar distracting and not the shaking. It’s like a freakin’ earthquake!! :open_mouth:

Yes, the HUD shakes slightly when you’re performing “heavy” actions.

This does not affect gameplay however and is functional. (Crosshairs are seemingly unaffected. It’s just HUD outlines.)

It conveys to the player this:

-You hit an ennemy in melee.
-You landed on solid ground.
-You’re getting hit.
-Watch where you point that thing.

It should stay still. It’s like the UNSC made a one size bigger helmet for the Spartan IVs.

Dude it’s not like 100% HUD movement on Crysis 2, you can barely notice it. You’ll live

God it seems like people are running out of things to complain about so now they’re going after the minor details. What’s next!

The reticule design.

I think I may need glasses as well…

I found the HUD shaking to be very minimal.I barely noticed it watching the gameplay and I highly doubt I’ll notice it playing.

A little late to that party bro. Reticule design has already been complained about, particularly the BR, Sniper, and Carbine.

It doesn’t shake all over the screen, it’s nowhere near that noticeable nor is it distracting. It’s just one of those little things that makes the game look a little bit cooler. I give it my stamp of approval.

I said reticule, not the scope.

It seems quite minimal to me. It adds to the immersion, and it really doesn’t move far from where it idles.

I somehow expect you’ll find it either unnoticeable during gameplay, or not as bad as you thought. I hope so for your sake, cause such little thing shouldn’t ruin your new Halo experience.

I didn’t see that at first, but now I can see that getting in my nerves now because I’m never going to unsee it…

EDIT:Also the HUD moves even if you just look over to shoot someone or to look over to see if your teammate is being shot.
