I’ve seen this a few different times, and I’m pretty sure it’s not Johnson. It’s just a black Marine who happens to have a Shotgun. If they had really wanted a Johnson Easter Egg, it would’ve been more obvious than that.

Johnson? No way. That’s a wannabe. And even if it was somehow Johnson, it’s ruined by how he can be seen on any difficulty.
If they wanted to put Johnson in the game, they would have used a decent face model for him.

How many standard black marines do you run into through Halo 4’s campaign? How many have that hat?
Thats what got me thinking, I’ve never seen that NPC before in Halo 4.
