[SGA] What's not availible in gold packs

So I’ve gone ahead and purchased gold packs until there were no more rewards. I had previously believed that Legendary items with the 3 stars next to it were only obtained by completing certain tasks, I have found that this is not the case, items such as the Helljumper armor are available via gold packs. Why am I doing this you ask? I like the game and would like to support it, I’m hoping that they release DLC for free to those who cannot or will not purchase the packs with money. [Disclaimer: I’m not rich, I don’t have a lot of money, I buy like 2 games a year and I want Halo to succeed]

While the packs are randomized it took around 50 packs to get my first legendary, this will not always be the case, since RNG is RNG.

Once you have run out of unlocks for Gold Packs each subsequent unlock gives you a return of 6000 RP. Which means you’re getting Uncommon to Legendary items for Warzone with a rather large return. For some reason some promotional items [like Astro Emblem] are available in gold packs.]

The following items are NOT available for Gold Packs and must be obtained through other methods, the current methods are unknown to me at this time. I’m only listing rare through legendary items as I haven’t earned enough silver packs to unlock all the common and uncommon items, and these are the items guaranteed through the gold packs.

Majority of the emblems are tied to commendations and SR ranks. I know I got wasp for maxing out ghost kills.

Yes you can, both Helljumper variants were towards the very end of my purchases. It’s possible but rare. :frowning:

The packs say 2 guaranteed unlocks if available. I started get RP instead of unlocks, so IF it’s available it’s gotta be bugged or time locked.

edit: Or it’s available through mythic cards, this post is only for gold since mythic isn’t available yet

Helioskrill, Mark VI [Gen1], and Mark VI [G1 Scarred] are unlocked by getting certain achievements in the Master Chief Collecton. The Nightfall helmet is unlocked by watched the first episode of the Nightfall series, and the armor is unlocked by watching the whole series (I think, might have mixed the two up).

To unlock the armors, you have to:
Helioskrill: Earn the “Legend” achievement (completing all campaigns on legendary difficulty) in Halo The Master Chief Collection
L Mark VI [Gen1]: Earn the “Your Jourbey Begins”(Complete a campaign mission or a match of multiplayer) achievement in Halo The Master Chief Collection
L Mark VI [G1 Scarred]: Complete Cairo Station in Halo 2 Anniversary
L Nightfall: Watch episode four of Halo Nightfall for the helmet and watch all 5 episodes of the series for the armor

I’ve purchased the 25$ warzone pack and feel thats enough for me. I’m going the long 185 silver pack first, then move onto gold pack method, so I wont be done for months. Its good to know after that though you can really start earning lots of REQ cards with that 6000 RP return. No more worrying about using my last of a card then!

just curious. dId you unlock the dmr certification through gold packs or was it a specific task. I’m asking because I’ve unlocked multiple skins for it but not the gun itself and I really want to play with the dmr in warzone

Yeah. Some people on Reddit did the math that it if your going to spend 0 cash and just use req points. It’s best to buy silver 1st then go gold.

Going silver to gold cost under 3 million req to buy everything.

Going gold to silver cost over 4.5 million req

I unlocked all DMRs through gold packs.

DMR is available to everyone in warzone toward the end of the match such is the case with the battle rifle and SMG

So you do have all stances and assassinations too I suggest? Then 2 questions:

1: Are stances even viewable somewhere outside your service record? Just asking because I haven’t unlocked one yet…

2: What does Emile’s regards look like? I just wanna know, because I really like him

Not trying to judge or anything but spending $200 plus on in game items is quite a stretch. Compared to CSGO where you can essentially trade up to the rare knives…you legit dropped hundreds on armor that you lose when the game is played offline.

Just saying. Im glad he put the money down to support 343…because they need a lot of it apparently. I have half a mind to go over my $15 dollar REQ Pack fund to help these poor souls because they have a lot to fix.
