On the positive side The SFX so far are amazing! Needler sounds great by the way. The territories loss and capture SFX are amazing as well. In fact all of the guns sound quite great. Hammer could use a bit more slammy and the rockets could have a bit more boomy. Those are just nitpicks to be honest.
The maps sound amazing, they have a wide array of sfx that plays on each map. The wind blowing, the familiar radar sounding noises on that weird tower on Bazaar, and the wildlife sounds are top notch. The maps are very immersive and it’s nice to see that even the smaller details are again being looked at when developing the maps.
I do have a negative though, I feel as if the banshee should scream like a banshee, as it did in HCE to Reach. Hence why it’s called the banshee, because it screeches. In previous titles, when the banshee’s nose tips towards the ground it screeches out a terrible howl warning players that the banshee is again going for another strafe. This noise in particular I felt was important since the banshee is on the more powerful side of vehicles and players could use a bit more of a heads up when one is around. Why call it the banshee if it doesn’t scream? The identity of the vehicle is literally tied to the sound it makes. I’ve listened for the sound in game and I didn’t hear it. So if it’s there, I’d recommend bumping up the volume on those SFX or adding more of a distinct flare to it.
Overall though, Infinite looks and sounds amazing.
