I’ve only been playing this game for a day now and I’ve already experienced multiple severe issues. I’ve been kicked out of two games due to losing complete connection to the game, lagged in multiple more games (no one else claims lag is happening, just me.) I experience NO lag with any other games I’m playing, including the Master Chief collection and Gears of War Ultimate Edition. My NAT is open and my connection and latency are 100% fine. Not only am I experiencing these connection issues, but I experience them in campaign as well with friends. Also, if I play Arena and Team Arena solo, after the first round is completed each time my Xbox One will go to the menu and Halo 5 apparently crashes, because if I resume it it goes back to the opening cutscene and then the main menu. I’m extremely aggravated that I waited 8 hours for this game to download only to deal with consistent connection issues that only occur with this game. If I’m going to be booted from games repeatedly, I want my money back.
Experiencing the same issues yet none of my friends are… Do you happen to have the New Xbox Experience? I’m wondering if it’s linked to that…
Experiencing the same issues. However in coop campaign and warzone its not as bad in arena . I have good internet 80down 12up. I have friends having the same issues as well and they have better internet then me.
I don’t believe I have the new xbox experience but I could be wrong.

I am experiencing this same issue. A lot of people are saying it has something to do with being with TWC. I highly doubt this and it is probably just a coincidence. I also have the new NXOE update with the xbox preview program. Any fixes yet? Would like to actually be able to play with my friends… Also I didn’t actually buy the game. My friend bought it digitally and since we have it set up where his xbox is my home xbox and visa versa I got it. I already had issues with the warzone pre order req pack not installing so maybe my game is just screwed? Let me know if you have any updates on your end.
Anybody having issues with connectivity in this game should just quit now. You will be banned within a few days anyways for having a bad connection.
I just posted about this. I’m having the same problem and coincidentally also have the preview Xbox one experience thing, whatever it’s called. Anyone find a solution to this?
Support won’t help me since I didn’t actually buy the game. I went to go opt out of the preview program NXOE update but I have to wait several days before I am “accepted” to go back to the normal dashboard and by that time the NXOE will be up for everyone. I am pretty sure that is the reason Halo 5 is messing up for me. I played on a xbox that did not have NXOE and halo 5 ran very smooth. I also can’t open any of the pre-order req packs that installed with the halo 5 game. Has any of you guys that previously posted found any solutions? Thanks!
I normally have issues for lots of games but with halo 5 I don’t have any issues for some reason. I hope in fixing other peoples problems it doesn’t cause an issue
its your ISP, Halo 5 servers dont work well with some of them (naturally) Mine doesnt work either and 343 are “working” on it. but i dont expect any fixes till after SW BF
