In a 1v1 close to midrange battle a controller user will always win, again if you’ve checked ItzTheDay this would be obvious. The same tracking occurs when both users are moving this is not an exaggeration.
If aim assist doesn’t help then why don’t you try playing with it disabled? There is a foolproof way of disabling it by starting the game without the controller plugged in and then plugging in the controller in a game after a few minutes.
I am going to make the assumption that you only play with controller, its hard reflect on yourself and realize that maybe aim assist is responsible for delusions of grandeur". Back in MCC I used to be like you too was playing controller and doing very well in games, back then I thought that MKB players were just crying because they weren’t good enough. Try to be honest with yourself play on MKB for a bit or two and then try to understand what the MKB players in this thread are complaining about.
well duh! That doesn’t change the fact that the game is infinitely easier (get it, infinite ly) on controller. It was probably meant to be an aimbot but 343 screwed it up as well.
I haven’t got the time, patience or interest to argue or debate this with you. It’s the same old BS time and time again when the controller vs M&K debates come around…same crap, different game…and quite frankly it’s boring as hell, and there is no middle ground between the two control methods. As I said, earlier I’ll leave you lot in here to argue amongst yourselves.
As for you…trolling this thread like the M&K Messiah acting all high and mighty as if only your opinion is valid, whilst consistently condescending, belittling and dismissing any one else that has an opinion that differs to yours. Your self righteous attitude hasn’t gone unnoticed and it’s quite frankly embarrassing and pathetic. Have a word with yourself.
I laughed so hard at this! I really needed a good laugh after the nonsense that went on in this thread today. Glad to see you are thinking about me. I do leave an impression!
yea thats now something i can agree with more that there scrap crossplay from the game.
since 4 years ago there are 2 things in general more a lot off players have agree on.
option 1: remove crossplay for good since its only worse for halo infinite so your idea is good one a lot can accept.
option 2: if its become a option then there can accept it that there is a crossplay comming.
so in the end option 1 is not good for all the players that wane play between PC and Xbox.
and option 2 there accept since its give a choose to not to play with the other platform and if others that wane there still can.
with this you get a lot off hate threads more since you mess with it and make it only worse and worse in the end and thats for sure a dooms day senacrio for any game that is doing it that there destroy there own game for good with it.
like i keep telling crossplay is not broken between Controler VS KBM.
its broken on a bigger level then you think.
the thing that is broken is there need to remove PC from the system for good and that crossplay most only be use for playing between console’s Xbox and playstation without PC is the way to fix the crossplay system.
and since halo infinite has no playstation players and also not get.
that means that pc players most play more with other pc players and xbox players with other xbox players.
It’s been like four months, Quake pros don’t think they’re competitively viable, Mouse players of all skill levels have left in mass, and there’s been zero comments on aim assist anythings from 343. They’re incapable or unwilling to make changes. You may not like it but giving up is the solution they’ve gone with.
The only way to turn things around at this point is to effectively soft relaunch the game for Mouse players with adjusted gunplay, decent crosshair options, and settings made for a zero aim assist environment. Let Mouse Halo be what it always should have been and don’t worry about the impossible aim assist balancing act.
So, my wife is a biostatistician by trade, and discussing this, er, discussion with her, she actually had some recommendations for producing relevant statistics - effectively, you will need two fresh accounts that are started at the same time, one for M&K and one for controller, with an equivalent number of games played between them, in the same playlists/equivalent playlists. This way both accounts’ statistics are gathered given the same familiarity with the way the game currently plays and without the influence of learning the peculiarities of Infinite. If you have the time to do that, I’d love to see the results.
I don’t disagree with that recommendation but I also don’t think that should dismiss/devalue or makes the Reddit user data irrelevant. He used the top 100 from both inputs, familiarity is defiantly there with the top 100 players.
Agree, but her whole view comes from designing studies with controls so you get results without any biases that are reportable to journals of medicine - so it’s a very high standard. Her standpoint is basically that the data from those top 100 players is what would be used in a study to justify the controlled experiments - i.e. the two fresh accounts and fresh data collection - and that the top 100 players wouldn’t be able to be the study itself, given the lack of controls available. To quote her “It seems likely that’s right (the top 100 data), but you would need to do a controlled study to validate whether that interpretation of the data is accurate or not.”
Maybe another test could be to get someone who doesn’t play video games at all. Give said person each input and have them play 10 games each in FFA with bots. Then compare those stats.
That would be interesting. Would be good to have a sister study alongside that takes someone good at video games, but who has never played Infinite/Halo, and is good at both inputs, and do the same thing. Would help differentiate input usage skill gap from the advantage/disadvantage of the game’s systems per input.
