Settling the Controller vs KBM debate with data

Right, this would be the fairest. But how many times do we need to dice up the population until it’s almost impossible to find a match? There’s no mystery the player population has been going down. Once we dice up the players, how long will it take to find a match?

Kiddo this conversation died on your first comment. You have not contributed a single valid point except that 343 is unlikely to fix the problem. Your starring contribution was acknowledging that 343 sucks and will not fix their broken game.

This is the fun thing it would be difficult for one olatform over the other to find a match.

I would rather wait 30 seconds instead of ten.

What is happening now due to crossplay/input is the player base is leaving quicker than what you would have from players waiting an extra 20 seconds

Ehh. I think people blow the pop drop out of proportion. It’s still in the top 5 on xbox.

Top 5 on xbox. Not even top 100 on PC. PC players would have a heck of a time finding games if we chopped up the population in more ways than 1. What is the fairest solution isn’t always the best solution.

Slap thay into youtube on mobile and its being a pain with the copy link not allowing me to enter into forum

Okay look I’m sorry. I assumed you were biased and that wasn’t the case. I jumped the gun.

We good?

Can we stop arguing now?

I get where your coming from but to satisfy the minority you have to punish the majority.

Crossplay has been something console has pushed back on with pc in near everygame. It was a contribution to 2042 being killed quickly its effecting halo it has never been balanced and has intrudced network issue.

The dream of crossplay was ps to xbox as both held similar properties however its now being used to prop up the pc community

by now there’s is so few KBM, that I don’t care about on/off toggle for crossplay

The Xbox population has remained stable in terms of a typical population drop after a game release. The drop-off has been on Steam. Some of it can be attributed to shifting from steam to the Xbox app to play. I moved my install so I could play the campaign under my game pass instead of paying $60 on steam. The majority are probably people that quit due to the game conditions for KBM players.

This is just my opinion, not data based.

Yeah. No doubt, multiplayer on steam ain’t doing so well.

Like it or not, this is a reality we all need to get used to. Microsoft will continue to buy studios and continue to push crossplay to maximize profits on both systems where they release their games. Hopefully, they learn from their mistakes and fix crossplay in this game and future games but regardless, this is the new reality.

I agree we dont have the data i know a few xbox players who have left becuase the balancing is out. Granted we all play fiesta which shows the advantages. When playing kbm user the game goes from close range game to long range as power weapons are much deadlier at distance

Thats the thing if you let their biggest ip slide on it it sets a precedent. If the cummunity goes nope then it shows it isnt worth persuing

That only works if the controller players quit the game. Since controller has the advantage in most game modes, most will keep playing and they will focus harder on how to bring more KBM players into the fold.

It does and doesnt. If groups are vocal it shows but if you kill off kbm or pc that works aswell

You give corporations like Microsoft too much credit. They won’t bend to your complaints unless it hurts their bottom line. If you complain while shelling out that green stuff, their only focus will be “why aren’t we getting as much green stuff from our KBM players” and “how do we get more KBM players on our game and spending money.”

And the first thing they look at to find that information is these forums. They arent created with community in mind like they used to be. they are created for analytics. When numbers drop they look for reasons.

When you view these forums this way they are a tool.

If you look at the easiest mp achievement completed a limited time or peekers disadvantage you will see a completion rate o 20%. 80% of the people who have installed the game havent stuck around long enough to do one of those. So we can say that its a 1/5 of those installed have stuck around a little and logic would state it is running around 5-10% concurrent. They will be looking for reasons why

They don’t look at these forums lol they look at reddit for that information. These forums are just a niche community for people to complain, with sub-par moderation
