Service Tag was changed, but it wasn't me!!!

My service tag was changed to R777 from CELT(my usual tag) this morning when i put Reach on,
How can this have been done without someone hacking my account?? There’s no other evidence of account hacking though :confused:

Service tag will reset when you have the profile error thing, where you lose all your campaign missions, armor is reset, button layout reset etc. So this might be the issue for you?

No, nothing else was wrong other than the Service Tag had changed,

Same thing for me when i just checked my service tag and the profile error didn’t happen.

If you feel paranoid that someone has hacked your account (which I personally doubt so I wouldn’t worry too much) then change your password. That’ll give you a bit of reassurance.

It happened to me and some friends a few weeks ago. Not the worst thing that could happen. :slight_smile:

I know a year or so ago My friend’s service tag was changed to HR44 when he turned it on one morning, and later that day when we went into matchmaking, alot of pother people had the HR44 service tag as well, which was pretty weird.

I’ve personally never had any problems with mine though.

Yeah I got changed to H488 yesterday.

That’s not as bad as the profile error. Now I can’t prove to my friend that I got The Monument to all your sins achievement…

B488 Was mine before I changed it back to Yuki.
