Service Tag limitations?

Hello everyone,
I have a question to ask, will the service tag have limitations? By that I mean how long it can be, if it has to have numbers or letters, or certain things that will be blocked like not being able to have S117 in Halo 3 for example.

I assume profanity and certain slang would be limited, but otherwise it should be fine.

IMO,blocking stuff like “S117” seems a bit silly.

Profanity should be blocked, but anything else should be available IMO.

In Halo 3 your service tag was restricted to one mandatory letter, and 2 mandatory numbers.

In Halo: Reach it is much more relax. Just no profanity, and symbols are off the table.

Because you could only use 3 letters/numbers in Halo 3.
