I noticed my service tag was changed to this, thought it was just my service tag reset then I noticed a few of my friends also had it. Kinda weird how it starts with H4, anyone else notice have this?

It’s been happening to my friends as well, I do smell this having something to do with Halo 4, but it’s not just Infisibility. Also, A455.

Service tags only tend to change if the current one have is added to the Xbox LIVE global censor, it is really odd if you ALL got H488 as your service tag.
People have been getting reset to H488 ever since Reach released. Pretty sure it is just one of the default service tags, and with all of the servers issues happening today a lot of people have been getting reset to default tags.
If you Google H488, the first couple results should be people complaining about this on B.net back in 2010 and 2011.

Yeah, I’ve had the same issue. This has been the first time its ever happened to me. H488 came up today. My service tag is MICH wish is in no way offensive I’m sure. Unless people are offended by the name of the state Michigan. lol.
Well I tried changing it back and it wouldn’t change at all. I’ve seen other people with it the last few games I’ve played. 1 on my team and some on the other team with it. I’m guessing its just a bug in the system. I’m sure its nothing to worry about.

All i can do right now is laugh. My tag was changed 10 times, when Reach came out, and Finally, it stopped.

Same here mine changed to TROL to L107
Happened to me as well. Went from BACN to H488. Awkward o_O
